00:04This is your first 12th of July and you're in Dramara.

00:07So tell me about the reception you've had this morning.

00:09You had a warm welcome down at the bridge.

00:11It's been absolutely fantastic.

00:13It's been lovely to be in a constituency today whenever we're hosting on so many bands and

00:17lodges from across the district.

00:19Everybody has been out in bright colours celebrating.

00:21It's been a family day and the reception has been incredible.

00:25People have showcased the best of their culture and who they are and it's been really special

00:29actually to take in my first 12th and it's been lovely.

00:33And you were telling me, you were down at which bridge was that?

00:36Just before St. John's Parish Church.

00:38And it's a bridge you'd be down whenever there's flooding to deal with?

00:41Yeah, normally we're there whenever it's the hard of winter and it's flooding and we're

00:44trying to do a bit to get that all sorted but it was lovely to be there today in nice dry

00:48weather and it was lovely to see so many friends on parade as well to say hello to them and

00:54a few people who I didn't know reached out the hands and gave a handshake and said it's

00:58really good to have you here.

01:00Lovely.

01:01And you're on the way up to the feed now?

01:03Yeah, on the way up to the feed.

01:05Don't know if I can look at another burger again so maybe have a hot dog.

01:09And I see from your Facebook feed you have been around a few orange lodges this week as

01:14well.

01:15Yeah, that's right.

01:16So I've been at Alacat, Bolivar and Derrimore and Marra.

01:21They're brilliant community groups who work so hard throughout the year and they're doing

01:25incredible work and they really showcase the best of who they are in their culture and

01:29it was lovely to be there with them.

01:30Good, good.

01:31I'm going to step back for a second here if you don't mind.

01:33You've really gone to town with the outfit today.

01:35You've hit the nail on the head completely, haven't you?

01:37I'm always stressing the occasion.

01:38Absolutely.

01:39You've really done it today.

01:40You can't be half hard about these things.

01:43So, you know, today was fantastic.

01:45I'll definitely be back and it was really colourful.

01:49It was really vibrant and that's exactly who we are here in Ligon Valley.

01:53You know, I said whenever I became an MP that I would be an MP for everybody and that's

01:58just not a slogan.

01:59That's the truth and it involves going to things and being everywhere in the constituency

02:04because these are my people and I'm proud to be here with them today.
