00:00Hello Ruth, how are you? How is going the Giro so far?
00:03Yeah, I'm good. Obviously a bit tired on some of the last days coming up,
00:07but I'm really enjoying it and feeling good.
00:09Today you'll face the hardest climb of the hardest stage of the Giro.
00:14What do you think about it?
00:15Yeah, it's going to be a tough one, to be honest, but we feel pretty good.
00:21We had a good day yesterday, so I'm hoping to just continue.
00:24What is the plan for your team, and do you think someone could play an attack?
00:30I mean, how do you see the race?
00:32Yeah, I think today's a big GC day, and with Barbara Malcotti
00:35we have big hopes to get her in the top ten of the GC,
00:38and see how we can do there, and see how good she climbs
00:41at the end of the day on this brutal climb.
00:43Thank you so much. Good luck for today. Thank you.
00:45Monica, how are you? How is going the Giro so far?
00:48I'm good, but in the bike I don't feel good.
00:56This Giro started very well, but then for days that I don't feel good.
01:03It's like this, and no problem, it's the bike life.
01:11Looking at today's stage, you're faced the Queen stage, the hardest climb of the Giro.
01:16So what could be your plan for you and for your team?
01:20Yeah, for me, for sure, I will start and I will see how I feel today.
01:27And if I don't feel so good, I will try to help my teammates as soon as possible.
01:36Do you think that someone today could play an attack or maybe try a breakaway?
01:41Sorry, I don't, yeah.
01:43Do you think that someone could play an attack today? Do you expect a breakaway or not?
01:48Yeah, for sure. There will be some riders that will try a breakaway to take the climb earlier.
02:01Maybe if I don't feel so bad, I also will try. We will see.
02:09Evita, how are the legs? How is going the Giro so far?
02:12Not the perfect Giro for us for now. I didn't have my best legs, so I hope it's coming.
02:19But yeah, now we will try to do a good stage and to have a victory since the end.
02:26A great race for you yesterday. You gained some position for the GC. What's the plan for today?
02:31Yeah, yesterday it was more like we really wanted to be in the break and try to win the stage.
02:36And yeah, we did all the race attacking and following and we were close, but yeah, just missed a little bit.
02:43So yeah, for today for sure it's the hardest stage. So we'll see how the legs will enter because I think still it will be really the legs who will speak.
02:54Do you think today something will change for the GC? Maybe some position, maybe new gaps?
03:00Like for us, we don't really care about the GC. Now we are really far, but in our front, yeah, for sure there will be a battle between UIA and Movistar.
03:08So we will try to be ready and to be in advance.
03:11Thank you so much. Good luck.
03:13Elisa, we have seen you yesterday in the attack from Marlene. Then you are always close to her.
03:21I mean, could be today be the day you're waiting for?
03:25Yeah, today is going to be for sure a big battle between between the GC riders.
03:31It's not going to be only among Marlene and I, but it's going to be between all the climbers.
03:38Sara Gigante showed she's the strongest up to climb. So I presume she wants to win this stage too.
03:46But Paulina Royacar showed an incredible form too. And all the other climbers that were in Pianette, they will be there battling for the victory.
03:55Looking at today's stage, you'll face the hardest summit finish of this Giro. So what's the plan in order to face it?
04:03Yeah, nutrition is going to be very important and you need to be all the time on top of that. Then you should all the time have the team together, spend less as possible until the last climb and then go full.
04:20What do you expect from the other team, especially from the Movistar?
04:25I think, well, Movistar is pretty inexpectable these days. I feel like they will control and then they will go for Marlene for sure. And I expect a big attack from her. But let's see the stage how it unfolds.
04:42Thank you so much. Good luck.
04:44Anna, how are the legs? Are you ready to face the Queen stage?
04:48The legs are a little bit tired, but hopefully the others have that as well. Yesterday was a hard day, but today is going to be even harder.
04:56So actually I'm feeling still quite good. So I hope to make up some of what I lost in the beginning of the week.
05:04Yeah, we will see. I mean, it's going to be a really important stage, so I hope to feel good.
05:11Looking at the GC, do you think that today there will be creating maybe some new gaps or something could change?
05:17Yes. I mean, if you see how hard the stage is, things will change and it's all depending on how that's going. That last climb is really long, so differences can be really big.
05:30If you don't have good legs, you will lose a lot. And if you have good legs, you can win a lot. So hopefully for me the last one counts.
05:37As a team, what's the plan in order to face the stage also without an important member like Lotte?
05:43Yeah, it's sad. Lotte is not here, but I think still not so much is changing for us. I mean, we need to start good on the last climb. Pay a bit of attention on attacks.
05:55For Lorena, the red jersey is a nice extra. So the sprint is on top of the climb, so she is motivated as well. And yeah, for our climbers, I mean, I need to try to eat and drink well because the stage is also really long.
06:11So survive the day and then start good on the last climb and hopefully, yeah, it can be a nice climb.
06:17Thank you so much. Good luck. Sarah, yesterday you say the hardest the climb, the better is for me. Are you ready?
06:23Yeah, I'm ready. Ready for today. Looking at the GC, the main competitor will be Uzo Aostolazza for you in the GPM ranking. Do you expect an attack from her today?
06:33Yeah, for sure. Of course, she'll be going for the QOM, but I think for us we have a different focus today.
06:38With your performance in the climb of Pianetze, everyone thinks you're the favourite for today. What do you think about it? Do you feel the pressure?
06:46No, I don't feel the pressure. I feel like this week has already gone a lot better than we could have hoped for. So yeah, just take the opportunities. Maybe it's a breakaway day. I don't know. But yeah, let's just see.
06:56Thank you so much. Good luck. Anna, how are you today? How are the legs?
07:01As good as they can be on day seven.
07:05Looking at today's stage, you'll face the hardest climb in the hardest stage of the Giro. So what's the plan maybe as a team in order to face it?
07:14Personally, the uphill finish is the least of my problems today. There's a lot of climbing before that. So yeah, looking forward to supporting my teammates.
07:20They were super good yesterday, really aggressive and yeah, they were really on fire yesterday. So yeah, I think continue that. And of course, it's the Queen stage. So yeah, surviving the uphill finish and hoping that our climbers can do their best under.
07:33Looking at the ranking for the Maglia Rossa, you are in the second position after Lorena Vibes. This could maybe be a goal for you for today.
07:42I think I'm like 30 points behind, so I don't think it's possible, no.
07:45Thank you so much.
07:47Eleonora, how are you today? We know your race close to your hometown. So how does it feel?
07:53Yeah, of course, it means a lot. I'm really excited also because I had some bad luck in the last days. I crashed before the stage of Val do Biadene, before the last climb.
08:03And yesterday I had a puncture when I was in the first group. So we are motivated to try to find good luck in this stage also because yeah, like you said, this is my region. I live in this region, so I'm excited.
08:16We have seen you strong in a good shape. So what could we expect from you today?
08:22I mean, also tomorrow is a hard stage. So we will see if I can do a good result. I will fight for the top 10. Otherwise, yeah, I will save energies for tomorrow. So yeah, I did the recon of this stage. I know what we have to do today. It's really hard. It's so hard from the beginning. So up and downs. Yeah. It's not so warm. So it's good. But we need to fight today.
08:48Yeah, we know you already tested the Montenerone before the Giro. What could you expect from the team? What do you think they will do? Maybe an attack or not?
08:58I mean, I think I just need to arrive at the bottom of the Montenerone with a lot of energies because it's really long. So yeah, they just need to be around me and try to see what we can do.
09:12Thank you so much. Good luck.
