00:00Kat, you're one of the girls to watch today, so how are you? How do you feel?
00:04Yeah, I'm feeling good, thank you. Excited to race this race for the second time.
00:09I think it's going to be, hopefully, a calmer race than last year
00:14due to some of the missing girls that we have on the start line.
00:19Many athletes hope for a final sprint today in which we know you could do very well.
00:24What do you think about it?
00:24Yeah, as I said, I think that the final sprint is the most likely outcome of this race.
00:31I think most teams have that as an option, so I think we expect the tax,
00:36but hopefully sort of less that there is a bigger group at the finish.
00:41Before this final sprint, there will be Cipressa and Poggio to face. What's your strategy?
00:46I think just positioning is the big focus for every team.
00:50Every team wants to be at the front, so I think that's why you have to concentrate on
00:54even the 90Ks before. It's all about the positioning.
00:57Thank you so much. Great.
00:58Kim, you're one of the girls to watch and try to be today. How are you? How do you feel?
01:04Yeah, I feel good. The weather's nice. It's better than last year. Not raining, so that's a positive.
01:09Yeah, looking forward to it.
01:11Cipressa and Poggio will be the most difficult climbs of the race. What's your strategy in order to face it?
01:17Yeah, I think we have one rider that everyone wants to get rid of, of course. Lorena has the fastest
01:22finish.
01:22No one has beaten her yet since 2024, so for sure for riders like myself, we have to try and
01:28get rid of it on the climbs.
01:30So I think hopefully it's going to be a different race this year, so we can also get our chances.
01:34We know Serimo women is unpredictable, but if you have to predict, what do you expect from the other team?
01:40Who could maybe play in attack and when?
01:43Yeah, I think with also Elisa not starting with sickness, that obviously is a bit sad because I was hoping,
01:50you know, you could make the race really hard with ourselves.
01:53Yeah, of course, we are planning to make it really hard. And like I said, we need to get rid
01:58of Lorena and the only way is to really go full gas from Cipressa.
02:00So yeah, hopefully the other teams are going to want to also make it a small group. I know a
02:05lot of them as sprinters, so it's going to be a bit. Yeah, we'll have to see.
02:10Thank you so much. Good luck. Elita, how are you? How do you feel for today?
02:14Yes, I'm feeling good. I'm ready. I'm really happy to be here for me. This is one of the best
02:19race of the year, so I'm really happy.
02:22What do you like about the Serimo women?
02:25It's just so nice because it's in Italy. It's quite close to my house, so my family can be here
02:32for and my friend cheering for me.
02:34So this gives an extra plus to this race. It is already amazing. Yeah, the big story behind and we
02:41finally have also in our calendar, so it's amazing.
02:44Today you will face the same route than last year on the Cipressa, on the Pozzo. What can you improve?
02:51What's your strategy?
02:52Yes, I really trust my team. I know we are a strong team and then, yes, I need to fight
02:58on the climbs. I think it's going to be really hard, but yes, I'm ready.
03:05Good luck. Grazie.
03:06Kasia, many athletes think the Serimo women is unpredictable. What do you think about it?
03:10Yeah, definitely. Especially for us, for women's peletons, as we don't really have a huge history of this race, so
03:16any scenario is possible.
03:19You know, something can go on Cipressa, maybe on a downhill or everything will be decided on Pozzo or the
03:24sprint, so I feel like the book is really open.
03:27What's your strategy to face the climbs like Cipressa and Pozzo?
03:32We definitely want to have the harder race, the better for us, because we know, of course, that Lorena Vives
03:37is an unbeatable sprinter, so nobody wants to arrive to a finish line with her.
03:42So, yeah, our goal is to basically try to create a situation where we're ahead of her.
03:47What do you think about the weather today? It's a little bit cold?
03:50Not so bad, actually. I thought it was going to be raining or we will be more challenged by weather,
03:55but so far, so good.
03:57Thank you so much. Good luck.
03:58Noemi, third place for you last year. Today you're one of the favourites. How do you feel with the thing
04:03about it?
04:04Yeah, I'm super excited for the race. It's a big season highlight for me. I've been looking forward to this
04:09race for a while and, yeah, I think my shape is good.
04:12We have a strong team, so, yeah, we're ready to play the game and hopefully it all goes well.
04:17The Cipressa and Pozzo climbs fits very well on you. What's your strategy in order to face it?
04:23Yeah, I think we approached it similar to last year. I expect a bit of a harder race this year.
04:28I think, yeah, other teams will make it harder on the climb. So, yeah, we just have to stay up
04:33there and hope I can follow the best ones on the climb and then hope for a reduced, like a
04:40smaller group sprint.
04:41Yeah, we know Sarimo women is unpredictable. Do you think someone could play an attack even maybe before the Cipressa
04:47and the Pozzo?
04:49Yeah, definitely. You never know, but I think it will come down to these last two climbs. But, yeah, we
04:55see also in the men's race that smaller or like, yeah, solo attacks can stay away. So we have to
05:01be attentive for that.
05:02Thank you so much. Good luck. Lorena, could we expect a back-to-back from you today?
05:06Yeah, I think first we need to survive the Cipressa and Pozzo and then we will see if it ends
05:11up in a sprint.
05:13Who are the girls to watch today beside you?
05:15I think Kasia Nivea-Doma showed that she's in really good shape and I expect to be the same girls
05:21as last year in the final.
05:24And, yeah, I also expect Kat Ferguson to come further than last year and I think it can be a
05:31really excited final.
05:33Like last year, the two most difficult climbs will be Cipressa and Pozzo. What's your strategy to face it as
05:39a team, also with Lotte fighting for you?
05:42Yeah, we need to survive the climbs. I mean, we have multiple cards to play with Lotte and me and,
05:48yeah, we need to see how the situation is on the climbs and, yeah, put our strength in.
05:53Good luck. Thank you.
