00:53Well I think that sometimes the outside will find you no matter how much you try to protect

00:57yourself from it and it just comes with the territory.

01:00I think maybe my nerves were bigger than they usually are and so I think I just was a little

01:10bit more sensitive to the love that people have for stories like this because I know

01:15that they wouldn't exist if it weren't for the love that people have for these characters

01:18and I think that it's just very important for me that expectations be fulfilled and but

01:26I also know that the only way to do that is to give it all my focus and all my heart and

01:30my body and my soul and so that was the best I could do.

01:37This is like a nice warm drink of espresso without appetizing.

01:45I feel like just, I don't know, look around and it's an incredible reflection of like what

01:50I'm experiencing right now.

01:52I've been with this cast, which is one of the best casts I've ever worked with and it

02:01anchored me to...

02:02I'm doing it on purpose.

02:07But yeah, I'm having a really amazing time.

02:15I picked Pedro because of his age, you know.

02:17I wanted somebody who brought, you know, his gravitas, you know, who was going to be becoming

02:23a dad for the first time.

02:24You know, this was very important to me and Pedro and I have known each other our entire

02:27lives basically since our early 20s and I respect the heck out of him as an actor, there's no

02:42one better.

02:43And what is it like to be married to Pedro Pascal?

02:47Oh my God, it's everything you would expect more.

02:50He is the most generous, loving, warm, supportive, kind, soulful, funny, brilliant scene partner

02:59and man.

03:00And yeah, I got to be, you know, I got to be pretend married to him and he doesn't want

03:04to be pretend married to Pedro Pascal.

03:10Occasionally I would put like heavy weights in the pregnancy belly just to really make

03:17me feel like I wasn't walking around with it, you know, a foam thing and I've played pregnant

03:20characters before.

03:21So yeah, quite surreal really.

03:22Really surreal.

03:23Mostly surreal.

03:24So you were ready for it.

03:25You were prepared.

03:26Clearly my body must have got the message.

03:29Yeah.

03:36I want to do the thing that's going to serve the story the most and serve the character the

03:40most.

03:41And certainly the, the, the performance capture was a way that I could maintain his humanity

03:47and imbue him with the most amount of myself and capture subtlety and not get kind of buried

03:53and buried or obscured.

03:55I'm really interested in the man inside.

03:58And, and, and certainly that this was the, this was the way to go.

04:02It's going to look really cool on screen.

04:09It was one thing to like film with all the wires and everything, but I'm just so excited

04:14for everybody to see it.

04:15I'm so excited to see it.

04:16So it's going to be really, really exciting.

04:19There's some amazing people, uh, in the cast.

04:35It's a, it's pretty starry.

04:36There's a lot of big hitters and they're all very kind, very lovely.

04:40Um, I grew up adoring the films of Robert Downey Jr.

04:44And, uh, the fact that I'm kind of hanging out with him a bit is pretty, pretty mad.

04:48And he's so lovely and inspiring and normal.

04:52It's like, Oh,

04:54It's a, it's a great, it's a great place.
