Tausende versammeln sich anlässlich des 30. Jahrestages des Völkermordes in Srebrenica

Mehr als 8 000 bosniakische Jungen und Männer, aber auch einige Frauen und Mädchen, wurden im Juli 1995, gegen Ende des Bosnienkriegs, von bosnisch-serbischen Streitkräften hingerichtet, was der einzige anerkannte Völkermord in Europa seit dem Holocaust ist.

00:00This year marks the 30th anniversary of Srebrenica Genocide and the first commemoration since the United Nations General Assembly declared an International Day of Rembrandts.
00:11The resolutions condemned genocide denial and the glorification of war criminals.
00:17Today, solemn ceremony was held at Srebrenica Potučari Memorial Center for seven victims whose incomplete reminds will be finally buried here.
00:27The youngest victims were just 19 years old. With them, the total number led to the rest has reached 6,751.
00:36Around 8,000 people joined the peace march, retracing the route 1,000 took in July 1995 by 1,000 trying to reach safety in Tuzla or Kladen.
00:45Ultramarathon runners, cyclists and motorcade riders also arrived here carrying the same message, peace and the promise that Srebrenica must never happen again.
00:55About 1,000 people are still missing.
