Marcos vetoes law declaring PUP National Polytechnic University  President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. vetoes the law declaring the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) a National Polytechnic University, Malacañang said on July 11, 2025. Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said during a press conference that PUP was not able to meet some requirements set by the Commission on Higher Education on establishing the operation of regular and extension campuses.
