Jaisalmer (Rajasthan), July 10, 2025 (ANI): Two groups clashed over the construction of a 'chhatri' (cenotaph) in a pond in Basantpeer village of Jaisalmer today. During the clash, stones were pelted at police personnel and construction workers. Case registered against those involved in stone pelting. Dy SP Jaisalmer said," Some anti-social elements did this. Women were also involved in stone pelting. Action under the law is being taken against them."SDM Jaisalmer Saksham Goyal said, "There was information of stone pelting and presence of anti-social elements here. A law and order situation had emerged. Now, the situation is under control and law and order are maintained."
