00:07performance in the final, yeah? Yeah, yeah, played really well and it's always good going up against

00:12your friend and I've played against Lewis and really good games so it's really enjoyable.

00:16What was your expectations at the start of the tournament? Qualifying's the main bit and then

00:22once you qualify it's getting a match plays anybody's game but thankfully I managed to get

00:26through them all and here we are with the trophy. On paper it looked like quite a tough road to the

00:32final but you seem to perform quite well in each of the matches, yeah? Yeah, yeah, I mean match plays

00:39never easy, you never know who you're going to go and I played David Sanderson in the second round and

00:43he's a good player and I will call that that knows his way around so it was nice to be able to beat him

00:48and then Lewis in the final. And to win it at the fifth deep, did you expect to win it so early?

00:54Yeah, I got off to a pretty good start. It was a few under, 2-5 and a couple up so we just managed

01:01to kind of keep going and then a few good shots and a bit of luck and we managed to get it done.

01:05You're no stranger to winning tournaments though are you? You've won a few in the past.

01:09I've won a few in the north so it's pretty good, it's a nice feeling.

01:13But where would you rank this one?

01:14Oh this one's definitely up there at the top. I've had a lot of good wins, a lot of good fielding moments but

01:20this one's up there, it's nice. And a lot of celebrating back at Boat and Garton for your work, yeah?

01:25Yeah, yeah. I'll be back to work tomorrow and my fiance is due. We're expecting our first child in a

01:31couple of weeks so I'll go home tonight and celebrate with her so I'm looking forward to it.
