00:00In other news, the Philippine Coast Guard is still on heightened alert status in preparation for the rainy season.

00:07According to PCG spokesperson Captain Noemi Kayabyab, the agency implemented the pre-disaster risk management plan.

00:15The response groups are also ready as well as their equipment.

00:19PCG is coordinating with the local government units to give relevant information.

00:24They reminded the fishermen to always be vigilant in the current weather conditions.

00:28PCG is intensifying its pre-departure inspections on all marine vessels in the ports to prevent overloading.
