00:09What started out as a very frightening evening, I know when we raced down here,
00:15I was so concerned that we were going to find tragedy.
00:19Instead, what we found was victory.
00:22All of the men that were in that tunnel rescued up safe.
00:27We had an opportunity to speak with them.
00:29We had an opportunity to make sure that they were able to reach their family members.
00:34Their family members knew they were safe.
00:36There were many anxious family members who were here waiting to make sure that their relatives were okay.
00:42We spoke with the paramedics while the paramedics examined the men as they came up.
00:47And I just have to tell you that we're all blessed today in Los Angeles.
00:51No one injured, everyone's safe.
00:55And I am feeling very, very good that this is a great outcome in what started as a very scary evening.
01:03And tonight, we were lucky.
01:05At 7.58 this evening, LAFD Resources responded to 1701 North Figueroa Avenue to a confined space.
01:17We were very lucky this time, we had over 100 resources that were here, over 100 firefighters and paramedics here to respond to this incident.
01:28It was determined that a structure failure of the tunnel lining failed approximately five to six miles in, trapping that we thought 27 individuals.
01:40Four actually went in to rescue, to assist, so a total of 31, and a total of 31 were evaluated afterwards, and that is still continuing on as we speak.
01:53A.
01:54A.
01:55A.
01:56A.
02:01A.
02:06I'll see you next time.
