Transcript
00:00So this is a sad, shameful, disappointing day for the U.S. Senate.
00:06Republicans will come to regret the ill-considered step they take today.
00:11Mark my words.
00:12And our country, the health of our children, the health of our communities, and the whole
00:19country will be worse off because of what Republicans have done.
00:24Now on reconciliation.
00:26It's no secret how awful the Republican tax bill is.
00:30For weeks, we've said their bill shows that billionaires win, American families lose.
00:35Last night, the nonpartisan CBO proved that to be quite accurate.
00:42The CBO's nonpartisan analysis shows that this bill would decrease household resources
00:50by 4% for the bottom 10% of Americans while increasing household resources by 2% for the
00:57top 10% of the country.
01:01To be clear, this bill would hurt the most vulnerable Americans.
01:06And the most benefits would only reach the top wealthiest.
01:11Trickle down economics if there ever was one.
01:14This bill hurts American families.
01:16They're the losers of this bill.
01:18American families will lose health care, they'll lose food benefits, they'll lose jobs, they'll
01:22lose money.
01:23Bottom line, American families lose, billionaires win.
