We heard Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying that U.S. and Israel are
00:05
getting closer to finding countries who will take in Palestinians. Can you tell us who
00:10
are these countries? Are they in the Middle East or outside of the Middle East?
00:14
Well, we know that this has been, through conversations and discussions, part of the
00:19
ideas that have been discussed or, I suppose, contemplated. There's a realization that,
00:26
as the President has noted, as the situation became quite obvious, that that was not an
00:33
environment, the Gaza Strip, where one can live peacefully or safely. And in order to rebuild
00:40
and to remake, people have to be safe. Where we go with those conversations, I won't discuss the
00:49
end result, but we are at a point. This is, what is this, Tuesday? We're dealing with, after everything
00:55
we've experienced, think about it. In just five to six months, what has changed already? The
01:02
Secretary noted that a bit in his remarks at the Cabinet meeting. It's been an astounding shift
01:07
to the future itself, not in a moment of a singular ceasefire, but changes in attitudes and what
01:17
we expect. So I would say that there's a belief, in general, that things can change, that the
01:26
people themselves are what's being considered, first and foremost. And it's the regional partners, that the
01:32
nations in that region, who also have an overwhelming interest in the destruction and the
01:38
carnage ending. And so we'll have to wait and see who is going to participate in how we make this a better future for the people of the
01:45
Gaza Strait. All right. And yes, sir.
