00:00So Sara, congratulations. We have seen your big, big smile in the last kilometers and all the fans cheering for you. What are the emotions now?
00:07Yeah, I'm really in shock. I knew I was riding quite strongly and I knew I had an amazing team. We saw that already at the previous races like the Tour of Swiss and also in Stage 2.
00:18But to come away with a stage win after such great teamwork all day and all week is just beyond my dreams really. I'm coming back from a big surgery. I had six months off after iliac artery endofibrosis and then I dislocated my shoulder just as I was coming back.
00:36So it's been a long time and yeah, this is by far my biggest win, especially in Europe. So I'm just so grateful to my team for always believing in me, not just this week, but ever since I joined the team, I just love the team. So thank you, AG Insurance to Dell.
00:53What there was in your mind when you decided to leave alone behind you Elisa Longoborghini and Marlene Rosser?
00:59Yeah, I mean my DS, Dani, was amazing on the radio. She was telling me, stay calm, stay calm, because even from the bottom, Marlene attacked and we had a gap.
01:10I could have spent a lot of energy there, but Dani just said, wait, wait. And we also have Ashley, Momin, Pasio, Ushka, Ziga and Laura Deskepa all riding so strongly.
01:19So we wanted to use those numbers. So I tried to stay patient, which is not how I normally ride.
01:24But then when I saw Marlene go and I was feeling good, Elisa and Antonio started to drop and I knew I was on a good day.
01:32So I thought maybe I'll try to. And then, yeah, I really thought they were going to catch me.
01:36I know you're not meant to look back, but I kept looking back because it just seemed too good to be true.
01:41Thank you so much. Yeah, thank you.
01:43Marlene, back in peak. How does it feel?
01:46Super nice. I'm really happy. I really like it.
01:48Looking at today's stage, we have Cindy head-to-head with Elisa Longoborghini.
01:54I mean, a similar head-to-head that you have in the GC. What do you think about?
01:58Yeah, it's nice. I think it was exciting to watch, I hope, at least.
02:02We made a nice race. And, yeah, I think it's nice to have this battle.
02:09We were not sure how it goes today and what is possible in this climb.
02:13It's not such a steep climb. It's not crazy long. So we were like, what's going to happen?
02:18And I think if it would be more clear, it's less interesting. So it's nice to have a battle.
02:25Looking at tomorrow, it will be an important stage, I think, in two ways.
02:29Because you have to recover a little bit in order to face the next important steps.
02:34But also, you have to keep the Maglia Rosa. So what's your plan?
02:38Yeah, tomorrow, I think it's mainly a tricky final, just because of the roads and the corners.
02:46I expect it to be a sprint, but, like, a dangerous one.
02:50So I think it's more a day where you should not lose the GC.
02:55And you're not going to win it there, but you should not lose it there.
02:59So we will be very focused and try to keep it safe.
03:02And I hope everybody tries to keep it safe.
03:05I hope the whole peloton has this goal.
03:07And then, yeah, I think the last three stages are going to be the interesting one in terms of the GC.
03:13For sure. How are the legs? How do you feel now?
03:15Yeah, okay.
03:16Perfect.
03:19Anna, from pink to red, what are the feelings?
03:23Yeah, I was super proud to wear the pink jersey the last two days and to still have a jersey in the team.
03:28Yeah, it makes me super proud.
03:30And, yeah, we'll try and defend this jersey and see how far we can get with it.
03:33And, yeah, I hope, I don't know how the girls did, but I hope they did super well as well today.
03:37Looking at today's stage, it has been a tough uphill finish.
03:41Do you expect that?
03:44Sorry, can you say that one more time?
03:46I apologize.
03:47No worries.
03:50Hi, Antonia.
03:52Looking at today's stage, the uphill finish in Pianetze has been tough.
03:58Do you expect that everything goes as planned or not?
04:01Yeah, yeah, for sure.
04:02Like, I climbed super well on the day that I won.
04:05And, yeah, I just, I'm not a climber.
04:08So, yeah, I tried to position the girls as much as possible.
04:11Unfortunately, there was a few crashes coming into the final climb.
04:14And then, yeah, I just rode to the top and enjoyed my time in the pink jersey.
04:18I really appreciate the fact that you finished your race smiling at the people.
04:23I mean, are you really enjoying this Giro?
04:27Yeah, I am really enjoying this Giro.
04:28This area is super beautiful.
04:30And, yeah, it's a really nice race to be at.
04:33And, yeah, looking forward to the next four days.
04:35Looking about tomorrow, we will have a very different stage respect of this one.
04:41What do you expect?
04:42Maybe the plan will be to recover a little bit?
04:45Yeah, I mean, there's still a lot of sprinters here.
04:48So, they're really interested in tomorrow.
04:49And, yeah, hopefully our GC girls can recover a bit.
04:52And, yeah, maybe we can collect a few more points for this jersey.
04:55And, yeah, on to the last three hard days.
04:58Thank you so much, Anna.
04:59I've seen you today give everything you have.
05:02Also in the battle with Marlene Rousser, Elisa Longoborghini.
05:05What you can say about today's race?
05:07Yeah, it was a super hard stage.
05:09Like, from the beginning on, it was like full gas.
05:12It was really hard, like up and down.
05:14And a lot of corners and dangerous situations.
05:18But the team did really well.
05:20And, in the end, I had to give everything on the climb.
05:23And, yeah, I think we did quite well.
05:25Looking at tomorrow's stage, it will be very different from this one.
05:29So, what will be the plan?
05:30Maybe recover a little bit in order to face the next stages?
05:34Yeah, I think tomorrow is just to be safe.
05:37And, I mean, we have a good sprinter with us.
05:39And I think tomorrow it's her time to shine.
05:41So, yeah, we go all in for that.
05:44And, yeah, just try to stay safe, out of trouble.
05:47And then I think it will be fine.
05:49You're still in white.
05:50Will you want to keep it till the end, maybe?
05:53Hopefully.
05:54Yeah.
05:55So, I think that's the goal.
05:56And I think it's also the goal to move up in a GC.
