00:00Nigeria's Super Falcons began the Women's Africa Cup of Nations tournament with a 3-0 victory over Tunisia on Sunday.
00:09According to team officials preparing for Thursday's game against Botswana, the team's goal at the tournament remains clear, a record 10th title.
00:18Meanwhile, fans of the Super Falcons have been speaking about the expectations for the team in Morocco.
00:25I expect Nigeria to win the league, to win the Cup, rather. They've been doing really, really, really well.
00:32They won their match against Tunisia. They won 3-0. They have a match on Thursday against Botswana. I expect them to trash Botswana and bring the Cup home.
00:42When it comes to Nigerian sports and Nigerian football, the Super Falcons have brought so much glory and so much laurels to the country.
00:49Unfortunately, they are the less celebrated of all teams when it comes to Nigerian football.
00:55However, they started on a great note. This is a terrain that the Super Falcons are used to and I expect them to actually go as far as they can.
01:03The only Achilles heel that we may have in these tournaments may just be the Moroccan national team.
01:08Also, the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, who are the second-placed team in Africa.
01:13However, all things being equal, if this team can put their machine, put Igor aside and work together as a unit, I expect the Super Falcons to go all the way in Morocco.
01:23I have been very, what do they call it, hyped about their game. So far, so good. Even when they drew Portugal, I was upset, but at least, I mean, they brought their, again, small, small.
01:37But with every match, subsequent match, they have been improving. And I believe that they can go far. As far as semi-finals, fingers crossed.
01:4312 African women's team are taking part in the 2024 Wafcon, being played across six stadiums from 5 to 26 July in Morocco.
01:54The Super Falcons fell short at the semi-final stage of the last Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
