Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told reporters after a visit to the US Capitol on July 8 that while he did not think Israel's campaign in the Palestinian enclave was done, negotiators and Israel are "certainly working" on a ceasefire with Hamas.
"You need several parties to tango and there's not even two here. We have a goal. We intend to achieve that goal.
"We accepted a proposal that came from the mediators. It's a good proposal. But I think the less I speak about it publicly the more likely that we might get it. I'm totally focused on the result, as is President Trump, and we're working together," he said.
