00:37My dad is visiting. My dad is not camera shy. Unlike my mom. You know, the last time I did one of these, I was scared.
00:43Because you guys know that these are just like a hot video for people to hate on for some reason.
00:48Like, people love to pick apart what you eat. But you guys are so sweet and for the most part, everyone's really nice.
00:53There's only like 1% of people that are feisty.
00:56I didn't want to just do like an average what I eat in a day. I wanted to do one targeted towards my fellow lazy girls and guys out there.
01:03But I do prefer to spend as little time in the kitchen as possible.
01:07Something quick. You know, something easy. But also somewhat healthy.
01:11So the first thing I'm gonna do, I'm gonna go to Trader Joe's. Because I actually need quite a few groceries.
01:16My fridge is looking a little bare. So I think the most logical first step is to start by getting some food.
01:21So guys, we are going to get a matcha. Because guys, I don't know what happened. I used to not like matcha at all.
01:29What's a matcha?
01:30Oh, you don't know what it is?

01:32He doesn't know what matcha is. Okay. Well, how do you explain it?
01:35It's like a green tea type drink, but you can make it into a latte with milk and sweeteners.

01:47My new obsession is blueberry matcha specifically. So I'm going to Blank Street to grab that before Trader Joe's.

03:16I have all my groceries on the floor right there.
03:17I'm going to do a little haul, hopefully sort of speedy because I'm hungry and I just
03:22want to eat my breakfast.
03:23I feel like it seems probably like I'm lying to you guys because every time I say, give me
03:28a moment, give me some time.
03:30I promise.
03:31I promise I'm decorating this area.
03:33And every time you guys come back, nothing's changed.
03:36And I just feel it probably seems like I'm lying and I'm not.
03:39I promise.
03:40I just wanted to clear the air.
03:41I know no one's actually asking.
03:43Like I actually don't think one singular person is asking for that.
03:46Anyways, let's get back to it.
03:47Grocery haul.
03:48I get distracted.
03:49Also, if you're wondering where my dad went, he's shopping.
03:52So it's just me right now.
03:54I got some ingredients for my breakfast.
03:56I'm making healthy pancakes that are really easy.
03:59So I got some oats for that and a banana that I needed.
04:03I also got some fruit.
04:04I got a grapefruit, some lemon.
04:06I really like to put lemon in my water in the mornings now.
04:09I got an orange, strawberries.
04:12I'm making this dumpling soup for lunch.
04:14So I got some of the ingredients for that, like broth and mirror pox.
04:18And then for my dinner, I'm making a crock pot recipe,
04:21which I actually need to start right after I make my breakfast.
04:24I got some of the stuff that I'm going to put in for that,
04:27including like balsamic vinegar, a pepper, some canned tomatoes.
04:31I'm actually so excited for my dinner.
04:39When I was in high school,
04:40I used to be obsessed with making these healthy pancakes for breakfast.
04:45You guys know I go through a lot of phases with things.
04:47I overdid it for a couple of years.
04:49I overdid it.
04:50But it's been a while.
04:51I kind of rediscovered them recently and I remembered how much I loved them.
04:55We're back on the phase again.
04:56What I love is that they're so easy.
04:58Obviously, number one priority.
05:00They're also really healthy and filling and so yummy.
05:02So if I don't have a smoothie in the morning, this is usually what I'll have.
05:05You only need a few things for this.
05:07And the best part is you just throw them all in the blender,
05:09blend it up and cook it on the stove.
05:11I just start by adding one ripe banana and then you add two eggs,
05:17which I know are a very hot commodity right now.
05:20I did this in the wrong order, guys.
05:27I was not thinking because I'm filming and my brain's turned off or something.
05:32You're supposed to do the oats first.
05:33That's the whole point of the blender.
05:35So that way the oats get blended into like a flower form.
05:38Do add half a cup of oats.
05:50The oats are more of a flower consistency.
05:53I'm adding the banana and egg back in.
05:55I'll add a little bit of vanilla extract.
06:23Okay, guys, my breakfast is complete.
06:37This is what it looks like.
06:38I like to add some fruit on top, so I put some pomegranate seeds and strawberries
06:42and then it usually ends up making about four pancakes.
06:45I'll usually add either honey or maple syrup on top, just a tiny bit.
06:49These are so yummy.
06:50And they're warm.
06:51Sometimes when it's like a little chilly out, I just want something warm for breakfast.
06:54I don't want a cold smoothie.
06:55So that's usually when I make this.
06:56Wait, I kind of want to eat in my room.
06:58I didn't used to think about protein in terms of my diet.
07:01I just like never, I just never thought about the amount of protein I was eating.
07:04And then I realized that sometimes I would eat like a pretty good amount of food
07:08and I would get hungry quickly.
07:10And that's when I started to realize that I wasn't eating enough protein.
07:13So I just try to be like conscious of it now.
07:15Like the eggs in this really do help to keep me satisfied for a while.
07:19I try to make sure I get some type of protein in all of my meals, which might sound very minimal,
07:24but I used to never think about it at all.
07:26And it really makes a big difference in terms of satiating because sometimes you can eat a lot of food and still be hungry.
07:31I know that I did just make myself breakfast, but I need to put my stuff in the crock pot for dinner tonight.
07:37And if you take anything from this video, I hope it's this.
07:40Truly the ultimate lazy girl hack, I guess, has for me been using a crock pot.
07:46My mom was the one that got me on this.
07:48She, my mom influenced me.
07:49My mom is my influencer.
07:51You know, she knows my struggles sometimes with cooking and time.
07:54She actually just bought me a crock pot and like got it shipped to my apartment a few months ago, which was so thoughtful.
07:59And I have been using it a lot since.
08:01You can do so many, so many different recipes with crock pots.
08:04That's what's so nice.
08:05And you just throw the ingredients in, let it sit all day.
08:08This, this is it.
08:10This is my saving grace.
08:11This crock pot.
08:12A major component of this is getting the slow cooker liners.
08:16It's basically just a liner that you throw in before you start cooking.
08:20And that way you have zero mess to clean up after too.
08:24That's also why I love using my crock pot.
08:27So this is the liner.
08:28You just line your crock pot.
08:30I think my favorite thing to cook in a crock pot is usually just chicken.
08:34I'll write out the full recipe, but this is my favorite way to cook chicken because it's just so tender and it always turns out amazing.
08:41I'm starting out by adding some organic chicken.
08:44I'm putting in the whole pack by the way.
08:49Next I'm going in and I'm adding some onion.
08:51Another lazy girl hack.
08:53This is not like unheard of, but I know it is a little bit more expensive, but I think it's worth it.
08:58Especially for onions.
08:59I hate cutting onions.
09:01Obviously it makes you cry.
09:02So I usually get my onions pre chopped.
09:06Okay.
09:07That's all I'm going to do for now.
09:08What's nice is you can't honestly mess this up.
09:10Like you think you can and trust me, I would know.
09:13You just throw everything in here and then you walk away.
09:16Next I'm adding in some tomatoes.
09:18These are crushed fire roasted tomatoes.
09:20This I would say is the most important part because I had this recipe so much when I was younger.
09:26My mom would make it all the time.
09:28And the fire roasted tomatoes specifically are so, so good.
09:32Depending on how much chicken I have, I'll put in either a can or two.
09:40And then I'm going to go in some balsamic vinegar as well.
09:45I'm also going to add in some minced garlic.
09:47Again, pre chopped, pre minced.
09:49And then of course, I'm going to add a little bit of seasoning like salt, pepper, garlic powder, maybe some oregano.
10:02And then I just mix it all up.
10:08So everything's combined.
10:10This might seem a little strained, but just to balance out the acidity from the tomatoes.
10:14You can add honey, but I'm going to add a little bit of just some cane sugar, just a tiny bit.
10:19My mom taught me this because otherwise it's like too acidic.
10:23I'm going to turn on my crop pot for about four hours on medium low heat.

10:35So it's now lunchtime.
10:37Lunch is always the hardest meal for me to like come up with and make.
10:41I wanted to share with you guys one of my favorite, super easy.
10:45I think it's a five ingredient lunch from Trader Joe's.
10:47Everything's from Trader Joe's.
10:48You obviously don't need to go to Trader Joe's.
10:50You can go somewhere else.
10:51But I actually made this recipe on my TikTok about a year ago.
10:54I initially saw this recipe from a dietitian on Instagram.
10:58But basically it's a simple dumpling soup.
11:01So I'm starting out with some of the mirror pox.
11:05Everything's pre chopped, the carrot, the onion and the celery, which is just a perfect base.
11:09I'm going to try to put an even amount of all of this in my little sauce pan that I already pre coated with olive oil.
11:18This is what we have so far.
11:21I'm going to start the heat.
11:23I know this is not the right pan.
11:25I should be using a proper pan, but my pan is dirty.
11:28So that's why I'm doing this.
11:29I'm just letting this cook and allowing the onions to become translucent.
11:33Okay, now this is sort of almost done cooking.
11:37I'm going to set this aside and then I'm going to start cooking my potstickers.
11:41These are not the ones that I typically use.
11:44They didn't have any of the chicken ones in stock when I was there.
11:47So I got these Thai vegetable ones.
11:49This one also works though.
11:50I used it before and it tastes really good.
11:52I'm just pouring a few of those into my pan.
11:55I'm going to put some olive oil in as well.
11:57Okay, now that the potstickers are pretty much done, I'm going to go in and lower the heat and add back in my cooked onion, celery, and carrot.
12:12Now that everything's cooked, I'm going to go in and add some chicken broth.
12:16I don't really do measurements for this recipe because it is kind of just preference.
12:21I will link the original recipe below though if you do want to follow a recipe because I get that.
12:26I'm usually a recipe person.
12:27And then I'm just adding in some soyaki sauce.
12:30This is so yummy.
12:32It has some sesame seeds in it.
12:34And then I just let everything kind of marinate and cook together.
12:42Okay guys, here it is.
12:45I made a pretty good amount of this.
12:47My bowl is pretty filled.
12:48I also have some chili onion crunch on the side.
12:51This stuff I only add a tiny bit because it is quite spicy.
12:59Time to eat.
13:03This never, ever, ever fails me.
13:05It's kind of foolproof too.
13:06Like it's kind of hard to mess this one up unless you burn the veggies.
13:10But otherwise, I think you're pretty much safe.
13:12Five ingredients from Trader Joe's.
13:14So easy.
13:15So fast.
13:16So I knew I had to share this with you guys in this video.
13:18Because this truly is like a staple for me.
13:20And I actually got my mom on it too.
13:23Wow, I talk about my mom a lot in my videos.
13:25I'm going to enjoy and eat this.
13:31I was hungry.
13:32So I ended up making my go-to smoothie.
13:34I made this so many times on here.
13:36But pretty much just frozen strawberry, banana, some vanilla protein powder.
13:40A new addition for me has been adding collagen.
13:42I've heard it's really good for you.
13:43So I've been trying to incorporate it.
13:45This one's from Promix and I really like it.
13:47Some milk.
13:48Peanut butter.
13:49I cannot make this without peanut butter.
13:50Just doesn't taste the same.
13:51And it's just so easy and so filling.
13:53My crock pot dinner is done.
14:17Thing is, I'm a very impatient person.
14:19So you think, how does she like wait that long?
14:22But you just forget about it, honestly.
14:24Until later.
14:25Well, you should set a timer.
14:26Don't completely forget about it.
14:28So I kept it on low for the past hour.
14:31This also just makes my apartment smell so good.
14:34Let's take a look.
14:36Mmm, it looks so good.
14:38I could have added more onions, I will say.
14:40I am going to put some in my bowl.
14:43My dad's also coming over from his hotel.
14:45So we'll get his opinion.

14:50I like to have some rice with this.
14:52It's just a nice combo.
14:53You guys know if you've watched me,
14:55I like to use the Trader Joe's frozen rice.
14:57I'm not joking when I say I love this rice.
14:59I guess this isn't a hack.
15:01I'm taking the word hack a little too far.
15:03It's just an easy addition to this.
15:05So I put it in my microwave.
15:06Three minutes.
15:07Then I have my chicken right here.
15:09I'll combine my rice with it.
15:10Okay, I have my rice.
15:12Something I like doing that is like a tiny bit extra work,
15:15but I think it makes a big difference,
15:17is adding some lime.
15:18And then if I have cilantro, I'll add it.
15:20I don't have it this time.
15:22Lime, cilantro, butter are the perfect combo.
15:25I already added butter.
15:26This is me emulating the chipotle rice.
15:28That's why I do this.
15:29And then just the chicken on top.
15:32And there you have it.
15:33There's my bowl.
15:34So yummy.
15:35I'm so excited to eat this.
15:39It takes hardly any time.
