00:00The Conservative family is mourning Lord Tebbit's loss. He was an icon. We respected him for so
00:06many reasons, the battles he fought during the Thatcher government, but probably the most
00:11inspiring thing was watching the aftermath of the 1984 Brighton bomb and how he responded to a
00:18terrorist attack from the IRA. Just staying stoic, staying brave, showing lots of courage,
00:24but most importantly looking after his wife who was severely disabled from that terrorist attack.
00:30He put family first. He always exemplified personal responsibility. He was the embodiment of what a
00:36Conservative should be and we're going to miss him very much. I spoke to him quite a bit before he
00:40retired from Parliament. He was always urging the party to be more Conservative and I think he would
00:46be quite pleased with the direction of travel which we're taking, trying to make sure that people can
00:51see authentic Conservative principles in every single thing that we do.
