5 rescued from deadly flood trap at Devpahara Waterfall as flood reaches Chhattisgarh

Kobra (Chhattisgarh), July 08, 2025(ANI): Five rescued from deadly flood trap in Korba’s Devpahara as flood reaches Chhattisgarh. 3 females and 2 males were stuck after sudden rise in water level at Devpahara Waterfall on July 08. 5 individuals saved after joint rescue operation launched police and administration. Went to Devpahara Waterfall, group of 5 began shouting for help as water level rose suddenly. With help of villagers, rescue operation began late at night and continued until all were safely brought out. ‘Police team led by DSP Brent Minj rescued everyone’, said Korba SP Siddharth Tiwari. Sistrict administration installed warning signs advising people not to enter deep water, to leave before floods occur. The district administration has designated certain areas as danger zones.
