00:00So I'm Scott, I'm the general manager here at BAAD.
00:02We are right in the heart of the BAAD, a wee stone's throw away from where all the good stuff's happening this weekend over at Transmute.
00:09BAAD is such a multi-purpose venue, we do everything from weddings and conferences all the way up to the slightly cooler things like this weekend,
00:17a lot of live music, we've had awards for best events, best outdoor space, which I'm standing in just now,
00:24which is ideal if you're going to Transmute this weekend and want to soak up a few rays and get a wee drinking.
00:29I think accessibility is great, literally the other side of these buildings here is Glasgow Green.
00:34I think if you come here you get that kind of relaxed atmosphere, but at the same time there's a good vibe.
00:39So we've got DJs on all weekend, so we're trying to really play up, have a lot of people come here, have a bit of fun before they go there as well.
00:45You come along, you get 20% off with your ticket on your food as well, so we've got five food vendors, so why not fill up and then head over.
00:52I think Transmute probably brings out some great fun of what people in Glasgow are all about.
00:58I think if you go anywhere the world over and say you're from Glasgow, then people think, do you know what,
01:04great bunch of people, good laugh, like to enjoy themselves.
01:07Yeah, OK, we enjoy our drink, I'm sure, but we also love our music and that's what this city's built on.
01:12It's one of the cities in the UK that's all about music here.
01:16Liverpool, Manchester, they're all renowned for music.
01:19If you're coming from another city in the UK, a city in Scotland, a city from outer space,
01:24and getting planted into Transmute, I'm sure you'll have a great time because it is just exactly what Glasgow's all about.
01:30Glasgow's my live music scene, I mean it's been built over the years, we've had some great bands come out of the city.
01:35King Touch has obviously paved the way for a few people up there.
01:38Right there's the Barrowlands Ballroom, where some iconic bands have played, some iconic artists have played.
01:44And then we play a little part in the middle here between Glasgow Green and the Barrowlands.
01:48We've had some great live acts here. Some of them you'll see at Transmute this weekend.
01:52Kel Faulkner was here last year. A few of the guys from the Radio 1 Dance Dent have played here over the last year as well.
01:58If there's something on in this city, be it at the Green or be it at Barrowlands, the energy here is just unbelievable.
02:04There's just such a buzz from so early in the morning, even the traders and stuff in the market, they're up for it.
02:11You know, us guys here, we're up for it. We're ready to have a good time as well.
02:15I think sometimes with hospitality people forget that it is a really fun job.
02:20When energy's high, when there's a good laugh, when there's that little spark in the air, hospitality's great for it.
02:27And with us being right bang in the middle of it, it's so good. The vibes are awesome.
02:31So that is Bad. That is just a five minute walk away from Glasgow Green.
02:35It's right on the way. It's right beside the Badres Markets, which will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 4 each day.
02:44So you can have a wee nosy, a wee wander before you go to the festival.
02:48You can go to Bad and sit outside with a drink. They've got a huge beer garden.
02:53It was close to the public just there, but I do not doubt it will be very lively during the festival.
02:59You're welcome.
03:01Well done.
03:03I realized where you can go from there, so I couldn't see her north.
