00:14Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulia. In an interview, lawyer Nicholas Kaufman reiterated

00:20that the former president had nothing to do with claims that drug war evidence was destroyed.

00:26Stressing that he doesn't believe such claims, Kaufman refused to give details on the evidence

00:31presented by the prosecutor before the International Criminal Court where the former chief executive

00:36will be tried for charges of crimes against humanity of murder for the thousands of

00:41extrajudicial killings during his administration. Last week, Secretary Remulia claimed that the

00:48government decided not to pursue the drug case against the former president and allowed the

00:52ICC to take over. He said everything that could be erased was erased so that the cases would not

00:59push through. Despite these claims, the ICC prosecutor recently disclosed an additional 1,062 pieces of

01:06evidence to be considered for Duterte's case. The number of evidence that will be used in the

01:12former chief executive's trial has reached more than 100,000 items, including written testimonials

01:18evidence and video recordings.
