Malaysia and France have once again reiterated their call for a ceasefire in Gaza, as the Asian leader paid an official visit to his European counterpart in Paris.

Speaking at the steps of the Elsyee Palace, President Emmanuel Macron said both nations were now calling “more than ever” for an agreement on a permanent ceasefire, the release of hostages, and unimpeded access to the desperately needed humanitarian aid in Gaza.

00:01Malaysia and France have once again reiterated their stand for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
00:07The call was made by French President Emmanuel Macron and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim
00:13during a press conference at the LCA Palace in Paris.
00:30On Iran, Macron emphasized the need for Tehran to reaffirm its support for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty
00:46and to agree to a deal that would end uranium enrichment while still permitting the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
00:53Standing alongside Macron, Anwar lauded the French leader's efforts in seeking peace in Gaza.
00:59We have condemned the continued bombings and atrocities inflicted upon civilians, women and children.
01:06And it's a shame that the international community is not able to resolve this.

01:15And if it takes to both sides to secure peace, I agree with you.
