00:03The gentleman from Ohio is recognized for 30 seconds.
00:06I thank the ranking member, Mr. Speaker.
00:08This big bonanza bill for billionaires will make life harder for the people of Northwest Ohio and America.
00:15Unemployment is already up in Toledo, hovering around 6%.
00:181,100 Jeep Gladiator workers in Toledo are idled,
00:22and 2,500 workers at Perrysburg's first solar are on the chopping block
00:26as the Trump administration seeds in this bill our glass industry
00:30and America's lead in solar energy to China.
00:33Grocery prices are up 2%, yet the bill freezes SNAP, a cut for 45,000 families in my district,
00:40and $18 million monthly blow to local grocers.
00:45The bill assures billionaires get $300,000 in tax breaks every year
00:49while seniors and working people lose Medicaid and SNAP,
00:52and the largest cut to health care in American history, cutting over $1 trillion.
00:57The bill recklessly adds $3.4 trillion to the U.S. debt, and interest rates will climb.
01:02Congress can create a much brighter future for America
01:05by defeating this big, bloated bonanza bill for billionaires.
