00:00Making your move efficient means you'll have to prioritise a plan.
00:04Knowing where to start is often the most daunting activity, but luckily we're here to help.
00:09When it comes to a plan, you'll want to start by creating an inventory list
00:13that includes what you're keeping, donating, or throwing away.
00:17This will also help you keep track of your possessions during the move.
00:21In case it wasn't obvious, you will also need to organise packing supplies,
00:25which will likely include boxes, bubble wrap, tape, and markers for labelling.
00:31The Good Men Project says to start by packing non-essential items.
00:35These are things you don't immediately need, like off-season clothing,
00:39books and entertainment, or decorations and artwork.
00:42Then move on to rarely used rooms, guest rooms, attics, or basements.
00:47Now you're allowed to tackle more essential items like home office goods,
00:51electronics, kitchen supplies, and personal items.
00:55Remember to keep important documents and valuables easily accessible and safe
01:00in not just the old, but new location too.
