00:00Police were called to a home here on Davidson Avenue in Concord just after one o'clock this
00:07morning after reports of a shooting. The glass on the balcony has been completely shattered
00:12due to multiple shots but fortunately the two residents of the home were not at the property
00:17at the time. Fire and Rescue NSW were then called to a car fire nearby in Burwood on Stewart Street
00:23where the car which police believe was stolen was completely destroyed. It's believed a 45-year-old
00:29man and his mother live at this home in Concord and the man has believed links to bikey gangs.
00:35As for those responsible for the shooting police believe at least two or more people are involved.
00:41We were very fortunate that there was nobody at home because this complete
00:44wanted disregard to the safety of people at houses that are being shot at and their neighbours
00:50is not what we want in our community. It is complete stupidity that we are dealing with
00:55conflicts in this way. We also spoke to a nearby resident who's quite concerned by the news and
01:01said that this area is normally very quiet. So I was literally in bed when I just looked at the time
01:06and at that exact moment seven loud bangs the first one then the second then the next five were quite
01:13quick. It hasn't sunk in yet. Like when I heard it last night I thought that sounded like gunshots but
01:19I thought not in Concord. Police are urging anyone with information to come forwards particularly in
01:25relation to a white 2021 Genesis that was driving around the Concord and Burwood area. Anyone who
01:32might have CCTV footage or dash cam footage is being urged to contact Burwood police or Crime Stoppers.
