BRS MLC Kavitha calls for 'Rail Roko' demanding implementation of OBC Reservation

Khammam (Telangana), July 2, 2025 (ANI): BRS leader and MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla on July 02 slammed Telangana govt and Union government demanding 42 pc reservation to OBCs of Telangana. She also announced that Telangana’s people, OBCs of Telangana and Telangana Jagruthi will organise rail roko on July 17 to exert pressure on the Union and the state government. “The Congress party formed government in Telangana because they promised to give 42% reservation to OBCs of Telangana. Unfortunately, even after 18 months, it is not a reality. All of us are fighting on the ground, and as a result, we could pass the bill in the Assembly and the Council. Now that bill is pending with the Union government. We hope the Union government will respond positively and return the bill. To exert pressure on the Union and the state government, people of Telangana, OBCs of Telangana and Telangana Jagruthi are organising a rail roko on July 17,” said Kavitha Kalvakuntla.
