00:00Thank you!
00:30No, you didn't.
00:32No, you didn't.
00:40You can help me.
00:42You can help me.
00:46One, two.
00:50What is my greatest achievement?
00:52Even I don't know whether I have achieved anything
00:54or not, I don't think it's fair for me
00:56to self-clorify.
00:58What do you think is the most important judgment
01:00that you make?
01:02A few. I think there's a few.
01:04I think those judgments that have
01:06attracted so much public comments
01:08or criticism
01:10to me that would be the important judgments.
01:12What is your greatest achievement?
01:14No regrets.
01:16It has been a great privilege
01:18and honor
01:20to serve as Malaysian judiciary
01:22to serve as the 16th
01:24Chief Justice of Malaysian judiciary
01:26and Alhamdulillah
01:28I think Allah has eased my affairs
01:30sebab sepanjang 6 tahun
01:32it has been...
01:34Things have been easy
01:36relatively.
01:38And I think that is all because
01:40of the grace and blessings of Allah.
01:42Are you sad that they didn't extend your retirement?
01:44No, not really.
01:46Because you know why?
01:48I think being a Chief Justice
01:50was never my dream.
01:52So when you don't...
01:54It's not your dream to be whatever
01:56and you are in that position
01:58for six years
02:00and I have completed that term
02:02whether I have achieved
02:06you know, whatever
02:08whether I have achieved anything great
02:10or not, as I was saying
02:12this isn't up to me to say
02:14but all I can say is that
02:16I have served six years
02:18exactly six years
02:20from 2nd May 2019
02:22until...
02:24one day less than six years
02:26until 1st July 2025
02:28in the good health
02:30and I think that is itself
02:32a blessing
02:34and no regrets
02:36because the fact that I have completed
02:38my term as the Chief Justice
02:40so the fact that I have not been extended
02:42for another six months
02:44that's no issue.
02:46No issue at all.
02:47Six months is not significant
02:49compared to the six years.
02:51What is your hope on the judiciary after that?
02:54Well, my only hope is that
02:56if going by the public
02:58or rather the responses
03:00that I have received from the public
03:02these last few months especially
03:04and this morning from the speeches
03:06that the lawyers made
03:08in the open court
03:10at my last sitting
03:12I think to an extent
03:14I have been able to restore
03:16public confidence in the judiciary
03:18so my hope
03:20and my prayer is that
03:22that legacy
03:24would be continued
03:26by whoever succeeds me
03:28particularly and of course
03:30by all judges
03:32who remain in office generally
03:34and another thing is this
03:36to take this opportunity
03:38to say thank you very much
03:39to the bar
03:40especially the
03:42Bar Consul of Malaysia
03:43and of course generally
03:44all the lawyers
03:45including the lawyers
03:46in Sabah and Sarawak
03:47for giving me
03:48strong support
03:49because I think
03:50they understand
03:51that the
03:52the strength of the judiciary
03:54depends very much
03:55on the strength of the bar
03:56so I am really appreciative
03:58and I truly appreciate
04:00their support
04:01and also of course
04:03the support of many people
04:04out there
04:05individually
04:06you know
04:07any other bodies
04:08that have been supporting
04:09the judiciary
04:10I really thank them
04:11for all that
04:12thank you
04:13thank you
04:14thank you
04:15for the
04:29all the best
