00:00What I learned, why are you waiting, why are you waiting, why are you waiting, when we say embrace this up, it means to move forward into the challenge, to move forward into the discomfort, because you know, at the end, you're going to be a better, stronger, forward, forward.
00:30If you look around, you're of 800 Marines, the only ones that signed up to do this, so have fun, learn, and we'll see you guys throughout the next couple of days, okay?
01:00I think as Marines, we are more than just our MOS, I think that we need to be knowledgeable on everything that goes around, because what we're teaching is basic knowledge that we'll need in the field, and if, say, we go to deployment, or if we go to any type of war, like, we will need to learn how to do land nav, or a range card,
01:30generally.
01:37Today is going to be a lot about the PRAC app, so they're going to each station, there's six stations that we have. My station currently is a range card, so I taught about range cards yesterday, and today they pick out, like, where we're standing, and see, and conduct the range card.
01:54Small unit leadership, I think it's really important, because I think it gives everyone an opportunity to be able to lead Marines, and to be in that leadership role, especially junior Marines, since they don't have more experience with that, they've never had a Marine under them.
02:12Because in a real-life scenario, it's not going to really matter. Everyone's going to be finding the enemy, shooting the enemy, so it's nice to have everyone experience in that leadership role, instead of just the sergeant, instead of just the corporal.
02:32Head bobs up.
02:42Head bobs up.
02:53In some instances, sometimes the firefighting leader is the Lance Corporal, and they've never had Marines under them, so it's a really good
02:58It was a really good experience for them to actually take control of their group.
03:12Later on tonight, they're going to be staying overnight after they get done with all their stations,
03:16and then tomorrow they're going to conduct a hike all together at the team.
03:19The reason why I think it's better to tap into them small unit leaderships and to tap into the FECs
03:30is because advancing your skills and advancing yourself in the FECs is like you learn how to co-exist with your Marines,
03:40how to become a better person overall, and learn how to have great communication skills
03:47and building skills with your team.
03:49If somebody falls behind, we all fall behind.
03:51If we all advance, we all advance.
03:53We get better as a whole, as a team.
03:55It's good?
03:56Yeah.
03:57I didn't know we were going to need Band-Aids and stuff.
04:07How are you doing?
04:08How are you doing?
04:12How are we doing?
04:26How are you doing?
