During this visit, we will find an arrival of understanding that elevates our defense
00:05
cooperation to a new level.
00:07
This MOU is not supported.
00:09
It's a framework for an individual cooperation, and we are really hoping that it will develop
00:14
the health plan that will provide us with a framework for further cooperation.
00:19
Our strategic commitment to the Indo-Pacific is laid out in our new strategy for defense
00:24
and security engagement in this region, which was announced last month.
00:28
And we already have some defense engagements with Philippines.
00:31
Last year, the Philippines took part in our biggest cyber exercise, Emberness.
00:36
And this year, the Ukrainian Observer participating in Bajakata military exercise.
00:42
We are looking forward to continuing these activities.
00:45
And in addition, we see great potential for cooperation with Philippines in many areas,
00:51
such as maritime security, including challenges related to shadow fleets by some big countries,
00:57
our neighbors operating in South China Sea and Baltic Sea, and protection of digital underworld
01:02
infrastructure, hybrid threat and disinformation, cyber security, exchange of intelligence, military
01:08
exchange including training, civil defense and crisis response, defense industry, and also
01:15
migration.
01:16
Based on national security challenges, we feel that it would be very useful to have less population
01:22
from the former Soviet Russia territory and more people who are Catholic, English-speaking,
01:28
and pro-Western and really have very common values with us.
01:33
And also issues on support of Ukraine to be discussed and work together on.
01:37
And our meeting today is about complete deliverables.
01:41
And I look forward to productive conversation with Secretary of National Defense, Gilberto Teodoro,
01:46
and to building a resilient, future-focused partnership between our two nations.
01:51
Indeed, your visit is most welcome.
01:54
And we also are awaiting the visit of your Prime Minister to visit our President.
02:02
I believe a little bit of context also to this visit.
02:07
During the last Shangri-La Dialogue, the Minister and I had the chance to exchange a lot of ideas,
02:16
not only bilaterally but we sat on the same panel about extra-regional cooperation.
02:23
And this is one of the outcomes, this visit is one of the outcomes of the extra-regional partnerships
02:33
that smaller countries in particular, like the Philippines and Lithuania, need to build.
02:40
Because we see common threats, common challenges, not only of threat actors but also of situational considerations.
02:52
There is also a lot to learn from Lithuania in technology, in resilience, as the extensive topics
03:05
that were stated by Her Excellency the Minister earlier.
03:10
And we look forward to deepening our ties with Lithuania.
03:22
The next part is to help us see the leader of Lithuania in the future.
03:25
Yes, I believe, in Beano, not just us, in our country.
03:26
The Pacific is a different aspect of the organization.
03:28
We look forward to this, and looking forward to this new project,
03:30
we are doing the training of Lithuania.
03:31
We look forward to our 2022 campaign.
03:32
We look forward to this, which is a good topic.
03:34
We look forward to this, but we aim to make this great kickdown.
03:36
And we see a few parts of Lithuania here.
03:37
And we see a lot of their leader of Lithuania.
03:38
The days of Lithuania here, we look forward to this opportunity.
03:40
We look forward to this new project.
03:43
And we look forward to the perspective of Lithuania.
03:44
And we're looking forward to the expectation of Lithuania and to theزuania.
