00:13Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro on Wednesday, August 6, read Foreign Affairs Secretary Maria Teresa Lazaros' statement,
00:21noting concern over China's launch of its long March 12 rocket on August 4 that dropped debris into Philippine waters.
00:30With this, the Philippines urged all space-faring states to act responsibly and respect the rights of other states.
00:37Lazaros recalled the 2023 agreement between President Marcos and Chinese President Xi Jinping,
00:44saying the Philippines continues to work with China on proper communication and procedures for rocket launches and post-launch debris management.
00:52Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of the Philippines has deployed air and naval assets to locate possible debris from the Chinese rocket.
