00:00Hello hi and welcome to Blender. Now today I'll be downloading a new version of Blender.

00:20So all you do is go to Blender. You look at the new version. You can go download.

00:25You'll pick a version you want. You can just click this. If you want to install the window version

00:29you can select install. And you'll install it. I don't do that. I click here. I like the portable version.

00:34See here. So come down and you say it's here. Windows. You say Microsoft. You say it's install.

00:40The window installer. Which is that. And the portable version. The portable version basically

00:45it's the same thing. It's just unpacked. I mean it's packed up. You click that. You say make a donation to Blender.

00:53Yeah maybe at some point in the future when I get my models on to Blender.

00:56But until I make some money. I'm not going to donate any money. Really.

02:33Because a window file is the exe. When you install the window version. The standard version. Obviously you

02:39all you do is click install and install it. Now what you can do here. We can two left click on it.

02:43And we can open it. What you want to do. See a file there. Open your computer. Go to your C drive.

02:51Grab that and just drag it. And let go of it. That's it. And that's how you install it. Now of course

02:57there's a little bit more to it than just that. Because when you very first install it like this.

03:02I'm not installing it. I'm copying and pasting it. While I'm dragging and dropping it. Doesn't matter.

03:07So drag it over. Obviously what it'll do. Yeah kind of. Just. It'll take a few minutes because

03:11my antivirus will check that. Make sure there's no bugs virus. You're choosing malware or spyware in it.

03:17And by the luck of it. My antivirus says yep it's all good. Now of course what I can do. I can open it.

03:22Now of course inside this blender folder. Inside here. I would make a new file in here. I'll go here.

03:28Just go anywhere in my part. Anywhere. Right click. Make a new file.

03:34I don't want to do that. Go in here. Right click. Go down to new. Make a new file.

03:40Okay. Now here I'll put my objects. So I'm going to put my. I'll take the capital one off it.

03:50I'm going to put my. My 3D. Okay. That's going to be my temporary folder for all of my models.

03:58This is what I do. I've already got this file made. So what I'll do. I'll copy it out.

04:03Of the older version. Put it in a newer version. So I've got two copies of it.

04:07That way. When blender. I'll show you. Let's follow blender.

04:13So we're going to click on it. We're going to see if it works.

04:17It should work. There should be no reason why it wouldn't work. I'll scan it down in a moment.

04:22So you can actually fit inside the screen. Okay. So this is the brand new version.

04:31So as you can just see me. I've downloaded the new blender. Put it in the screen.

04:40I'll drag it into the corner. So you can see.

04:44And then what I want to do. I want to move it down a fraction.

04:46I want to come off the internet. Because I don't need it.

04:48Now ideally. What you'd want to do here. Is start creating some assets.

04:54So of course. As I dished my brand new blender now. So I can go here if I want to.

04:59Before I go save it. I want to go to side view. If you watch my content. You know I do this.

05:03Click this. Click on the box. Click here. Move it.

05:08Yeah. There's a little bit of delay going on.

05:11Snap it. Go over here. And go to save the template.

05:15Now we can save the template in downloads. So on here. I'll just tell you.

05:19To put on a start page.

05:29And of course the version of blender. That is 4. And it's 4.4.3.

05:34And I'll go save. Now supposing I go to sleep. Wake up tomorrow.

05:49Save new. Go to downloads. Click the start page. And it starts just like that.

05:55Of course you can save the page. With any object in it. It doesn't matter.

05:59You can actually delete the object. And that way you don't have.

06:01A box on the screen. So I'll show you. Get rid of that. Go back to here. Save it.

06:08Go back to here. Go back to open. Load the page.

06:12And you can see now the page loads. And there's no box in the screen.

06:16Of course. I want the box in the screen. So I'll go back here. And I'll put the cube back.

06:23And then I'm going to zoom in. And I'm going to snap it up.

06:31Apply all transforms. It tells blender. To leave the object. Where it is.

06:35It tells you exactly where it is. Go here. Save it. And that's it.
