00:00And again, he put out the same type of message.

00:01It's part of the rhetoric.

00:02It's part of the ideology.

00:03That's how I would read it.

00:05Let's talk about Gaza.

00:06Live look at Gaza, about 5.42 in the morning.

00:11Today, French President Emmanuel Macron said that President Trump is very determined to

00:17broker a new ceasefire in Gaza.

00:20Where do ceasefire negotiations stand in Gaza alone?

00:23Have things been put on hold because of the flare-ups in Iran?

00:28Absolutely.

00:29There's two broad stories going on with regards to negotiations.

00:34The first one is what was happening before the escalations with Iran.

00:38Before the escalations, there were high-level negotiations going on under the auspices of

00:44Steve Witkoff, the special emissary to the region.

00:47It was not really to the region.

00:47It's also to Ukraine.

00:48Special emissary, basically, from Trump to the world, it seems, were the conflict zones.

00:52And he was brokering a deal that was going to be a 60-day deal, 60-day truce, where involved

01:00the release of 10 of the remaining live hostages, half of the hostages, 10 out of 20, and in exchange

01:07for Palestinian prisoners, increase of humanitarian aid, IDF redeployment.

01:10The deal ended up getting stuck, once again, where it always does, on Hamas's demand that

01:17any truce will automatically lead to a complete ceasefire and end to the war.

01:22Hamas, as far as it's concerned, is saying, we are willing to release all the hostages tomorrow.

01:27We demand, in addition to the release of Palestinian prisoners and end to humanitarian aid, a complete

01:34end to the war and the idea of withdrawal.

01:36Israel is saying, no, it is demanding that the fighting can continue after any temporary

01:41truce.

01:41It's willing to go into negotiations over an end to the war, but it's demanding that the

01:45fighting continue.

01:46And therefore, it is looking to more of a limited deal.

01:49That Witkoff deal was being negotiated.

01:51It came to a stalemate about five days before the launching of the attack in Iran, and then

01:57everything was put on hold.

01:58So that's one avenue.

02:00A second avenue, and this is the one that's taking a lot of the headlines right now, is

02:05rumors that started to surface today about a brewing deal between Netanyahu and Trump

02:11that relates to a much broader perspective of the war in relation to the Middle East.

02:18This deal, according to what was published in several Israeli media outlets today, and then

02:22also started to make headlines internationally, involves a much broader perception.

02:28It involves ending the war in Gaza.

02:30That's a quote.

02:30It doesn't say how.

02:31Ending the war in Gaza in two weeks and the release of hostages, Hamas leaders being exiled,

02:38this coming within the framework of expanding the Abraham Accords, agreement between Israel,

02:43Saudi Arabia, and Syria, looking towards international force of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates coming

02:49into Gaza.

02:51It talks about countries absorbing Palestinians who want to leave from Gaza.

02:57It's a monumental plan, and it was even already rumored that Netanyahu is going to travel to the

03:02United States to discuss this with Trump in the coming days.

03:05It's being rumored.

03:06It's being surfaced.

03:08You know, I'm not going to say never with regards to the Middle East.

03:12Again, ask me three weeks ago, is Israel going to pull off what it pulled off in Iran?

03:15I would have said, I can't imagine it.

03:17Ask me two years ago, would it be looking at a situation in Gaza?

03:19Hard to imagine.

03:20Never say never.

03:22One thing I will say with regards to this deal that is being rumored, at least, that

03:26is being discussed between Israel and the United States, Netanyahu and Trump, it relates to

03:30all of these facets.

03:32What is missing is the other side.

03:36Hamas, why would it agree to this?

03:38I'm not saying that Hamas needs to be factored in.

03:40Obviously, Hamas is the enemy of Israel and the United States.

03:43However, fact is, they need to agree to release the hostages.

03:46They need to agree to be exiled.

03:48They need to agree to disarm.

03:50Palestinian Authority, where are they in this?

03:52Syria and Saudi Arabia, according to this deal, would be signing normalization agreements

03:57with Israel.

03:58But Israel is not committing to a Palestinian state, which is what they've always demanded.

04:02So it looks like a very sweet deal, as far as Israel is concerned, and a perfect deal,

04:08as far as the United States is concerned.

04:10But seemingly, the United States is negotiating with Israel, and it's not really at least what's

04:14been published.

04:15We're not seeing agreements from the Palestinian side or the Arab side for this agreement.

04:20So those are the two avenues right now.

04:22This is the much smaller Whitcoff deal, what's being called, the much larger regional deal.

04:27Both are being rumored.

04:29No active negotiations happening right now.

04:31But I would assume that over the weekend, we're going to start to hear that teams are

04:34in a meeting in order to try to advance both these tracks.

04:36And then we'll have to wait and see.
