00:20Let's talk about the model. What is it? It's an air vent for a car like that. It's a speaker for the wall. It's a drain. It's an air vent.
00:34So I've called it the shower drain vent. That's why I call it because it's everything. It's everything and nothing.
00:43As I imagine now you build a world. Let's say you build a prison. Like me, I'm building an asylum.
00:50Inside the asylum, there's going to be showers in there. And of course, in the shower floor, there's going to be this thing.
00:56And this is obviously the drain. The idea of this, the reason for the actual drain, honestly, is inside the asylum, of course, down in the, yeah, down in the basement,
01:09there's a big scary clown. And I'm thinking, yeah, of course, the clown put his hand through the drain.
01:17So this drain comes off. He's got the top and the bottom. So just in case you're wondering.
01:24And the reason why I've done that is imagine you create a hallway, whatever it is you want to make, and there's a speaker on the wall.
01:34I do have the speaker to go inside here, just so you know that. I haven't shown you on the video, but I do have it.
01:40So very soon when I animate the speaker, kind of moving backwards and forwards as if you're talking, yeah, you can pull it back with this.
01:50Or I'll pull it back with this when it's animated, and I'll show you what it looks like with the speaker behind it.
01:55Anyway, the whole idea of it is to have the cover, take it off the speaker, so you can get to the speaker behind the back of it, just in case you need the actual speaker.
02:07Or just in case you need the wires behind the back of it, like the red wire, the blue wire, the green wire, the white wire, the brown wire.
02:17Anyway, it's up to you, anyway you get the idea. So you can put this vent anywhere you want, you can put it this way, you can put it this way.
02:23So it's up to you, however you want to do it. Anyway, it's just a little small asset.
02:27I'll show you the geometry for it, it looks like this. It ain't got too much geometry, but you might think, wow, it's actually got a little bit too much.
02:34Maybe a little bit too much, so it wasn't dark around the edge. Now if it's dark around the edge, I'm going to tell you, it's back to front.
02:45It's not back to front, this is what it is. You see the edge of this here. I haven't filled the edge of the gap in. All I have to do is fill the gap in.
02:54It's very easy, very simple to do. You can put it in render, click the points and press F on the keyboard to fill the face.
03:01The idea of that is because I need to, what I need to do is grab this part, put it sideways like this.
03:09So I'll grab the dark part, the black part, this part here. And what I do is I drag it backwards.
03:16Now that gives me like a hollow tube. So when it's inside the drain, don't forget it's on the floor.
03:24So when it's actually in the drain, if you plan on taking this off, then of course, just fill the gaps in.
03:31As I said, I will do it for you and I will give you all three options.
03:35The second option would be not to fill it in and just grab it and pull it down.
03:39So it's like a big, long tube. So you can look down the tube, but it doesn't come off.
03:45And the other option is when you pull it backwards and put the speaker inside it, it looks absolutely perfect.
03:53That way, if you take the cover off it, anyway, you kind of get the idea.
