So you're as fat as crap and tried going on a diet, but soon realise you still have your sweet tooth that got you in trouble in the first place. What sweet things can you eat a lot of without getting fat? Well, this sugar free jelly is a good suggestion! Tastes like regular jelly for the most part, but it has very low kilojoules and calorie content, so you can eat almost unlimited amounts of it. Good substitute for sweets I would say.

00:05diet before or struggled with our weight. And when you're on a diet, well how do
00:13you make sure you do not indulge in sweet things? Because maybe you have a
00:18sweet tooth, maybe that's what caused your problems in the first place. So now
00:23that you're fitter and looking to be following a healthier lifestyle, what can
00:29you eat that's nice and sweet but won't make you fat? Well you gotta understand
00:34why you got fat in the first place. It's because you got in more calories or
00:39kilojoules than you expend through your exercise and your daily activities. In
00:45case you don't know what calories or kilojoules are, it's just to measure
00:49amount of energy you get out of food. Kilojoules is like the metric system while
00:56calories is like, I don't know what, American or something. But yeah, anyway one
01:02of the things you can eat that has very few calories or even zero kilojoules is
01:09sugar-free jelly. Here's an example that I picked up at the store. I made it today so
01:18I want to taste it out. How nice is it and how good is it? This is, let's first look at
01:23packaging. It says they are simply delicious zero. I suppose zero kilojoules
01:30or zero fat in it. Lime jelly, vitamin C enriched, diabetic friendly, run, walk for
01:36life, sugar-free, fat-free, free food, eat as much as you like. I take it it's because
01:44it's kilojoule free or fat free or something. So you can literally eat a lot
01:50of it before it will have any effect on your weight. Let's see what else is there.

02:01Foundation Eating Plan. Allow mehadrin, whatever that is. Simply delicious lime jelly.
02:11No refrigerated, no refrigeration needed. Suitable for vegetarians. Gelatin free,

02:24into 100 milliliter of cold water and stir until dissolved. Add 400 milliliter boiling

02:44it. Obviously you can only fit so much into your body before you burst. But yeah they mean you can
02:50eat a lot of it before you will get fat. No refrigeration needed. Allow to cool at room temperature.

03:53Okay now I didn't read the instructions before I made it.
03:57So they say here you should start with 100 milliliter of cold water. Stir until dissolved and then add 400
04:05milliliter boiling water and stir. So in other words you can make 500 milliliters or half a liter
04:12with this whole sachet. Okay what it looks like is this. You take it out and it's like in a little foil
04:21bag. I cut it open and poured it in this green bowl. I already made it as you can tell. Unfortunately
04:30I only bought one pack otherwise I could have used another one as a demonstration now because I knew
04:39it was going to take a long time for it to solidify as it cools down. That's why I just went ahead and made
04:45it quickly some hours before this. What I did is I just put put the contents of the sachet into this
04:52green bowl, added boiling water and stirred and then I put it in the fridge. I see here they say
04:58no refrigeration needed but I actually put it in the deep freeze just to speed things along a bit.
05:06I don't know if this is half a liter. I just added until this bowl was almost full. Now you must just
05:13be careful you don't want to add too much water otherwise the taste is going to be very faint
05:17and yeah it's just going to be too watery. It's not going to taste nice and sweet. And you want it to
05:23taste sweet? Even though there's no sugar in it there was other sweeteners in it. What was it again?
05:30Oh it just says here non-nutritive sweeteners. Sodium Cyclemet E952 Aspartame. I don't know if that's
05:40still the sweeteners. No probably not. Okay anyway now as you can see it's quite solid.
05:52Quite solid. Maybe I added a bit too much water for the sachet. Maybe I should have measured it
05:58nicer or more accurately. But all right what is what does it taste like? Let's have a taste of it.
06:10Looks pretty good. Actually that looks pretty good. If it was too much water it would have been very thin.

06:30Yeah I could have added a bit less water. This is almost the taste is almost too faint but it
06:37still makes the grade.
06:41Hmm. And yeah yeah. There's a suggestion for you. If you need something sweet while you're on a diet.
06:52I suppose this will do. Quite a nice taste. Just don't add too much water.

07:09feel like it needs a little bit more sugar or flavoring. What is it? Yeah this is the lime. Oh lime
07:19jelly. It also comes in different flavors. I think the other flavors might be nicer. But this is not bad.
07:27Serving suggestion it says at the bottom. Now what is the serving suggestion? Just add a little bit on
07:32the spoon. How is that a serving suggestion? People always put serving suggestion on the silliest things.
07:40This is a serving suggestion. Or yeah actually serving it. Not having a little bit on a spoon.
07:54Pretty good. One thing I do have against this is that this is actually almost twice as expensive or
08:03even more. Two times or more expensive than just regular sugar containing jelly. Which is a shame.
08:09I would buy this much easier if it was the same price as normal jelly. Or if it was even cheaper.
08:19I would have loved that even more. It feels like it should be even cheaper since it doesn't contain
08:25sugar. Oh but it's probably the artificial sweeteners that cost more than sugar.
