00:00Well, NATO is as relevant and as important today as it's ever been.
00:05We live in a very volatile world, and today is about the unity of NATO,
00:09showing that strength. We're bigger than we were before, we're stronger than we were before.
00:14There's a historic commitment in relation to spending.
00:19And for me, as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom,
00:22it's important that we pay our integral part because the safety and security
00:26of our citizens in the UK is my first duty as Prime Minister.
00:30I take that extremely seriously.
00:32And in relation to our contribution, the increased defence spend,
00:36obviously that goes to our security and our safety,
00:39but it also is the engine of growth and jobs in the United Kingdom.
00:44So this is a very important meeting of the summit.
00:48NATO comes together at an important point, stronger and larger and more determined than ever.
00:53Well, look, I think it's very important that we stand here as allies,
00:58and we do stand here as allies coming together,
01:01absolutely committed to the importance of NATO,
01:05particularly at this point in a very volatile world.
