00:19They'll heed the calls of the rest of the world, and that we can have peace in the Middle East and peace in Israel.

00:27When do you expect to be getting a briefing on all of this?
00:30Well, we were set to have a briefing tomorrow afternoon, and so it'll be a little different in its tone, I suspect now.
00:37But just a great day. I think this should be something that every elected official here in both parties should applaud and be thankful for.
00:45So we're excited.
00:46Do you think the board of powers resolution will come to the floor?
00:49It's kind of a moot point now, isn't it?
00:51But if they file it as a privilege resolution, it's supposed to be on the floor within 15 days.
00:56But it seems rather silly at this point, and I hope they'll acknowledge it as such and put it to bed because it has zero chance of passing anyone.
01:04Do you expect a reconciliation that he'll be here next week, given the timeline that the Senate has of possibly voting on a Thursday?
01:10Well, Leader Thune and I are both intent on keeping that July 4th deadline, and I expect that they will move the bill through their chamber this week,
01:18and we will get it done on time in this case. That's our intent.
01:22Do you think a ceasefire deal can hold? Do you have faith that the Iranians are acting in good faith by entering?
01:28Ronald Reagan said trust will verify, but it certainly seems like a good indication.
01:32I think the stakes are too high, and they're in too much of a weakened position to be playing games with us,
01:37so we're going to take it at face value, and I certainly hope it's true.
01:39Sir, how confident are you that the panelists were able to get their target and achieve the goal that they had in the end of the year?
01:46It was a remarkable position. It was a plan that executed so well.
01:52You know, we have the most capable military in the world, and this is a great indication, another example of that.
01:58I think that sent an important signal to the world, and I think, obviously, we all can extrapolate from the facts here
02:04and understand that, because the reason that this has been resolved, what we call the 12-day war, I suppose,
02:09as we were nicknaming it already, and just sort of a remarkable turn of events.
02:13So let's hope that this is a historic, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that we would all experience to truly have peace in the Middle East.
02:20That's what the people there deserve and they yearn for, even the Iranians, and we hope that they all come about.
