00:00The brain is a very subtle equipment. The blood vessels are extremely narrow, extremely narrow.

00:07In fact, that's the reason we are intelligent people, that our brain is much more developed than that of other organisms.

00:15It cannot tolerate a lot of blood pressure. Otherwise, what you get is hemorrhage, stroke.

00:20We were walking on all fours, quadriceps we were, long back.

00:24And then the heart and the head were at the same vertical level, right?

00:30So the blood pressure used to be higher.

00:32But when this fellow slowly started walking on twos, on the hind feet,

00:40then the head got at a higher vertical position than the heart.

00:45So the blood pressure dropped.

00:46And that allowed very, very delicate nerves, vessels and cells to develop.

00:54And that's what amounts to your IQ today.

00:57This cannot function properly with high blood pressure.

01:01For the brain to function properly, the system must become quite serene.
