00:00Ladies and gentlemen, what we are witnessing in the Middle East right now is alarming.
00:04The headlines are screaming, Israel has attacked Iran, airstrikes, retaliation, escalation, the
00:11world holds its breath. The United Nations is convening emergency sessions. Diplomats are
00:16shuttling between capitals and analysts are forecasting regional war. While the world is
00:22watching missiles and military maneuvers, I want you to know this isn't the real war. The real
00:28war is spiritual. Behind every geopolitical conflict, behind every violent clash of nations,
00:35behind every tank and every drone, there's a greater battle raging, a cosmic battle between
00:40good and evil, between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness. And the Bible has not left
00:46us ignorant of these things. When you open the pages of Scripture, particularly the prophetic
00:51books like Ezekiel, Daniel, and Revelation, you find that God has already told us how history will
00:57unfold. He told us what to expect. Not so we can predict exact dates or manipulate the news cycle,
01:04but so we can discern the signs of the times and stand firm in the truth. Now let me be very clear.
01:11The land of Israel and the people of Israel occupy a unique role in God's redemptive plan.
01:17God chose Abraham and made an everlasting covenant with him and his descendants.
01:21That covenant hasn't expired. It hasn't been replaced. And what happens in Israel is never
01:27insignificant. Zechariah 12, 3 says,
01:31It shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all people.
01:36All who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth
01:41are gathered against it. That prophecy stands like a burning torch in the middle of today's chaos.
01:46Now we ask, is what's happening between Israel and Iran the beginning of something bigger?
01:52It very well could be. Iran is not just any nation. It is repeatedly called for the annihilation of
01:59Israel. It funds proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas and its theology, yes, theology drives its ambitions.
02:06The Iranian regime is not just political. It is apocalyptic. It believes in ushering in a
02:11messianic figure, the mahi, through chaos and war. And yet, what does the Bible say about the nations
02:17surrounding Israel? Ezekiel 38 and 39 speak of a time when a coalition of nations, Persia,
02:25modern-day Iran included, will rise up against Israel. It describes a massive assault on the land.
02:31But then something happens. God himself intervenes.
02:34Not the United States. Not the United Nations. Not NATO. God. Ezekiel 38, 18-23 says,
02:43On that day when Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused.
02:49I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains.
02:52I will execute judgment on him with plague and bloodshed. I will pour down torrents of rain,
02:58hailstones and burning sulfur. What is that? That's divine intervention.
03:02But I want to pause here and say this. If you're only watching the news for political updates,
03:07you're missing the real story. The real war is not between Israel and Iran. The real war is
03:14between truth and lies, between light and darkness, between the word of God and the rebellion of
03:20mankind. Satan is at work. He is the father of lies. He hates Israel because he hates God's covenant.
03:26He hates the church because he hates the gospel. And he hates the truth because it exposes him.
03:32The world may call these things political, but the Bible calls them spiritual.
03:37Ephesians 6, 12 reminds us, we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
03:43against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age. That's the real battlefield.
03:48That's the front line. And if you're not armored with the truth, you'll be swept away by fear,
03:54confusion, and deception. Friends, what the world is witnessing today is the foreshadowing of the
03:59end. Wars and rumors of wars, nation rising against nation, earthquakes, pestilence. All of
04:06these are birth pains. Jesus said in Matthew 24, 6, see that you are not alone. For this must take place,
04:13but the end is not yet. So what do we do? Do we panic? Do we run to political solutions? No.
04:21We run to the cross. We cling to Christ because the only hope in this war, this ultimate war,
04:27is the gospel. The cross of Christ is where the wrath of God and the mercy of God met in perfect
04:32justice. And for those who are in Christ, there is no condemnation, no fear, no doom. Let me say this
04:39to you plainly. If you're not in Christ, these events should terrify you. Not because Iran has
04:44missiles. Not because Israel is retaliating, but because the clock is ticking. The window is closing,
04:51and one day soon, the skies will split open, and the king of kings will return. Not as a baby in a
04:57manger, but as a judge with a sword. When we look at the headlines announcing that Israel has attacked
05:02Iran, it's easy to be swept up in the political analysis, the speculation of retaliation, and the
05:08fears of a third world war. Governments scramble, alliances tremble, and media outlets go into
05:15overdrive offering theories, expert commentary, and warnings about the escalation of tensions in the
05:21Middle East. But while the world is watching borders and battle lines, what we must understand is that
05:27the real war is not geopolitical. It is spiritual. This is not a war simply between nations. It is a war
05:35that began long before missiles were ever built, before maps were ever drawn, and before soldiers
05:40ever marched. It is a war rooted in eternity, in rebellion, in sin, and in the sovereign plan of
05:46God to redeem a people for Himself through the work of His Son, through the work of His Son. Scripture
05:52consistently pulls back the curtain and shows us that behind every physical battle is a greater,
05:57unseen conflict. Ephesians 6, 12 makes it unmistakably clear. For we do not wrestle against flesh and
06:04blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present
06:10darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. That verse is not poetic
06:16metaphor. It is divine revelation. It is the Lord Himself telling us that the battlefield of life is not
06:23limited to what we see. The enemy is not ultimately other people. The enemy is not ultimately a nation
06:29or regime. The enemy is the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the
06:35sons of disobedience. Satan hates God. He hates truth. He hates the people of God. He hates the covenant God
06:42made with Abraham. He hates the church. And so he does everything in his power to stir up rebellion,
06:49deception, destruction, and conflict. This is why the events in the Middle East cannot be rightly
06:54understood apart from a biblical worldview. They are not random. They are not purely political.
07:01They are not isolated incidents. They are part of a broader spiritual war that spans the entire arc
07:08of redemptive history. From the moment Satan tempted Eve in the garden and led Adam into sin,
07:14the battle began. From the moment God declared in Genesis 3 15 that the seed of the woman would crush
07:20the serpent's head, the enemy has been attacking, deceiving, and opposing the purposes of God.
07:26So when you hear of Israel striking Iran or Iran threatening retaliation, understand that this is not
07:32merely about land or resources or political dominance. It is about Satan's age-old war against the purposes of
07:39God, playing out on the world stage through human agents, fallen systems, and corrupted ideologies.
07:45That is the real war. And it is not limited to the Middle East. It is everywhere. It is in the classroom
07:51where children are taught to deny truth. It is in the media that mocks righteousness and promotes sin.
07:59It is in the courtrooms where justice is perverted. It is in the hearts of men who suppress the truth and
08:05unrighteousness. This is not a war that can be solved with diplomacy. It cannot be ended with peace treaties.
08:11It will not go away through economic sanctions, because the root of the conflict is spiritual,
08:17and it requires a spiritual solution. What the Bible makes clear is that Satan has a counterfeit kingdom.
08:24He has always tried to imitate God. Just as God has his son, Satan has his antichrist. Just as God sends
08:31prophets, Satan sends false prophets. Just as God has a church, Satan has a system. This world as we know
08:39it is under the sway of the evil one. That's what 1 John 5 19 tells us. And so the wars and rumors of wars,
08:46the rise and fall of nations, the persecution of believers, the hatred of Israel, these are not simply
08:52political phenomena. They are the evidence of the spiritual warfare that surrounds us every day.
08:59When you study the scriptures carefully, you begin to see how consistently God has pulled back the veil
09:04to show us the spiritual realities behind physical events. In the book of Daniel, chapter 10, Daniel
09:12prays for understanding, and God sends an angel to answer. But the angel is delayed for 21 days. Why?
09:20Because he was opposed by the prince of the kingdom of Persia, a demonic power working behind a geopolitical
09:25empire. Another angel, Michael, came to help him. That's not fiction. That's not mythology. That is a
09:32literal, inspired account of the invisible war that rages all around us. In the New Testament, Satan
09:38tempts Jesus not with swords, but with power, influence, and compromise. He offers the kingdoms of
09:45the world in exchange for worship. That's how the enemy works, through pride, through ambition,
09:50through deception, through counterfeit glory. And so what we are seeing today in the political chaos
09:55of the world is not just a clash of armies. It is a clash of kingdoms. The kingdom of darkness versus
10:02the kingdom of light. The domain of Satan versus the rule of Christ. And that war will not end until
10:09Christ Himself returns and puts all His enemies under His feet. This is why we must be discerning. The
10:15people of God cannot afford to be naive. We must not be fooled by the surface level explanations.
10:21We must not put our trust in princes or politicians or pundits. We must look deeper. We must open our
10:27Bibles. Because only the Word of God can make sense of the world we live in. Only the truth of Scripture
10:33can help us see the real war. And only the gospel of Jesus Christ can give us hope in the midst of it.
10:40We have to understand that the church is not a passive observer in this war. We are soldiers in
10:46it. Paul tells Timothy to suffer hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. He tells the Ephesians to
10:52put on the full armor of God. We are not called to sit in fear or hide in confusion. We are called to
10:59stand. Stand firm with the belt of truth. Stand firm with the breastplate of righteousness. Stand firm with
11:05the shield of faith. We are not fighting with carnal weapons. We are fighting with truth.
11:10We are not advancing with tanks. We are advancing with the gospel. And that gospel is the only thing
11:16that can break the power of darkness and bring true peace. The war we see with our eyes, the bombings,
11:22the retaliations, the alliances, is only a symptom of a deeper battle for the souls of men and women.
11:28And until people are reconciled to God through Christ, there will be no lasting peace. Because true
11:34peace is not political, it is spiritual. True peace is the result of justification by faith.
11:40Romans 5, 1 says, therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through
11:46our Lord Jesus Christ. That is the peace the world cannot understand. That is the peace the world cannot
11:53counterfeit. And that is the peace that no army can destroy. This is why the gospel is so urgent.
11:59This is why the truth must be preached without compromise. Because in this war, neutrality is
12:05not an option. Every person is either in Adam or in Christ. Every soul is either under wrath or under
12:11grace. Every heart is either ruled by sin or set free by the Savior. There is no middle ground,
12:18and the days are short. The hour is late, and the enemy is not sleeping. When we examine the current
12:24conflict between Israel and Iran, with missiles flying and nations bracing for broader regional
12:29warfare, we must realize that this is not just another chapter in the history of global unrest.
12:35This is not just another instance of hostility in a volatile region. Israel's role in the end times
12:42is not incidental. It is not marginal. It is central. The Word of God places Israel right at the heart of
12:49His redemptive plan, His covenant promises, and His future judgments. When we see Israel being threatened,
12:56when we see surrounding nations preparing for war, when we see Jerusalem becoming a cup of
13:02trembling to all nations, we are not witnessing isolated geopolitical events. We are witnessing the
13:08unfolding of divine prophecy. We are witnessing the acceleration of God's sovereign timetable.
13:14We are seeing the prelude to what has already been written in the eternal counsel of God.
13:19The Bible is not silent about these matters. It speaks with clarity and authority. God chose Israel.
13:27God made an everlasting covenant with Abraham. He confirmed it with Isaac and Jacob. He reiterated
13:33it to David and through the prophets. That covenant is not symbolic. It is not allegorical. It is literal,
13:40eternal, and irrevocable. In Genesis 17, 7, God says, I will establish my covenant between me and you and
13:47your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant. That is the foundation
13:54of Israel's identity and the explanation for her preservation throughout history. No other nation on earth has
14:01been scattered, exiled, persecuted, nearly annihilated, and then regathered after thousands of years.
14:07Exactly as Scripture said would happen. The rebirth of the nation of Israel in 1948 was not an accident of
14:14history. It was the fulfillment of prophecy. It was a signal to the world that the fig tree is budding and
14:20that the season is changing. But the regathering of Israel in unbelief is only the beginning. The prophets
14:27speak of a time when Israel will become the focal point of global conflict. Zechariah 12, 2, 3 says,
14:33And behold, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of staggering to all the surrounding peoples. On that
14:39day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. All who lift it will surely hurt themselves.
14:45That day is approaching. It may not yet be the final fulfillment, but it is undeniably moving in that
14:53direction. The tensions between Israel and Iran are not just about political power. They are about spiritual
15:00resistance to God's covenant. Iran, formerly known as Persia, is mentioned by name in Ezekiel 38 as
15:07one of the nations that will rise against Israel in the latter days. Ezekiel 38 and 39 describe a
15:14massive invasion of Israel by a coalition of nations. This alliance led by Gog of the land of Magog
15:21includes Persia, Cush, Put, Gomer, and others. These ancient names correspond to modern regions. Persia is
15:28modern-day Iran. When Ezekiel received this prophecy, Persia was already a dominant power. And yet God showed
15:35him that in the future Persia would align itself with others to come against Israel. The question
15:40must be asked, why would so many nations unite to attack such a small piece of land? The answer is not
15:47military strategy. The answer is not natural resources. The answer is spiritual hatred. It is the same hatred that
15:55fueled Pharaoh. The same hatred that stirred up Haman. The same hatred that has followed the Jewish
16:00people for thousands of years. It is a hatred born from rebellion against the God who chose them,
16:07preserved them, and promised to redeem them. The prophecy in Ezekiel is not vague. It speaks of a
16:13specific time in the latter years when Israel has been regathered from many nations and is dwelling
16:19securely. It speaks of an evil plan conceived in the hearts of those who hate Israel. It speaks of a
16:25sudden massive assault, a storm coming from the north. And it speaks of a divine response that cannot
16:31be misunderstood. God says, my fury will come up in my face. I will call for a sword against him on all
16:38my mountains. I will rain upon him in his hordes, torrential rains and hailstones, fire and sulfur.
16:45This is not merely human warfare. This is divine intervention. God himself will fight for Israel,
16:51not because Israel is righteous, not because they have kept his covenant, but because his name is
16:57on the line. His promises are at stake. His glory is at the center. Isaiah 66, 66 new asks, can a nation be
17:06born in a day? The answer is yes, but that birth is just the beginning. The labor pains continue. And as
17:12Jesus said in Matthew 24, the birth pains will increase. Wars, rumors of wars, nation rising
17:18against nation, kingdom against kingdom. These are not random. These are not unexpected. These are
17:24precisely what the Lord told us would happen. And central to all of it is the nation of Israel.
17:30The entire world may deny her right to exist. The entire world may turn against her, but God has not
17:36forsaken her. Romans 11 makes it unmistakably clear. Has God rejected His people? By no means.
17:45God has preserved a remnant, and in the end all Israel will be saved. But before that day comes,
17:50there will be tribulation. There will be judgment. There will be deception. There will be conflict on a
17:57scale the world has never seen. Daniel calls it a time of trouble such as never has been.
18:04Jesus said that if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. And in the
18:09center of it all is Israel, surrounded by enemies, betrayed by allies, deceived by a false Messiah,
18:16but ultimately rescued by the return of the true Messiah. This is the real narrative. This is the divine
18:23script, and it is unfolding before our eyes. The movements of Iran are not isolated acts of
18:29aggression. They are part of the prophetic alignment, the increased hostility, the isolation of Israel
18:35on the world stage, the growing boldness of surrounding nations. These are signals that the
18:40stage is being set. The players are moving into position. The curtain is rising on the final act of
18:46human history, and God's Word is being proven true with every passing day. It is a tragic mistake to
18:52interpret these events merely through the lens of diplomacy or military intelligence. The only reliable lens is
18:58Scripture. The only reliable interpreter is the Holy Spirit. We must read the Bible and recognize that God has told us the end
19:06from the beginning. He has not left us in the dark. He has spoken through His prophets, and He has
19:12confirmed His Word through the person and work of His Son. Everything in history is moving toward a single climax,
19:19the return of Christ, the restoration of Israel, and the establishment of God's kingdom on earth. To ignore
19:26Israel's place in this plan is to miss the point. To minimize their significance is to contradict the Word of God.
19:33The church does not replace Israel. The promise is made to Abraham. Isaac and Jacob were not
19:39transferred or nullified. They are being fulfilled step by step, event by event, conflict by conflict.
19:46And as we see these things unfold, we are not to fear. We are to lift up our heads, for our redemption
19:52draws near. The real conflict is not just on the battlefield. It is in the heavens. The real agenda
19:58is not political power. It is prophetic fulfillment. The real center is not Washington, Moscow, or Tehran.
20:05It is Jerusalem. And the real King is not yet on His throne, but He is coming. In times of global crisis,
20:13when nations are teetering on the edge of war, and the headlines are filled with fear and uncertainty,
20:18the natural response of the world is panic. People look to governments for solutions. They look to
20:24treaties and ceasefires. They search for stability in the markets, for comfort in technology, for answers
20:31in experts and political leaders. But none of those things can truly prepare a soul for what is coming,
20:37because the ultimate crisis is not political. The ultimate threat is not military. The greatest danger
20:43is not nuclear war or economic collapse. The real urgency is spiritual. And the only sufficient
20:50response is not fear, not strategy, not nationalism. It is readiness, spiritual readiness, readiness that
20:57comes only through knowing and trusting in the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible makes this repeatedly
21:02clear. From the mouth of Christ in the gospels to the pen of Paul in the epistles, we are told that the
21:08days leading to the return of the Lord will be marked by deception, lawlessness, and great distress.
21:14Jesus said in Matthew 24 that many false prophets would arise and lead many astray. He said that
21:21lawlessness would increase and that the love of many would grow cold. He spoke of wars and rumors of wars,
21:27of famines and earthquakes, of persecution and betrayal. But in the midst of all of that,
21:33he did not tell his disciples to organize politically or retreat into isolation. He told them to be ready,
21:40to stay awake, to endure to the end. Readiness in the biblical sense is not passive. It is not simply
21:46waiting. It is not looking up at the sky in fear or speculating about timelines. It is a state of
21:52spiritual alertness. It is a life anchored in truth, rooted in grace, and shaped by the hope of Christ's
21:58return. Readiness means living with the full awareness that the King is coming, and that when
22:03He comes, He will not come to take sides. He will come to take over. He will not come as a lamb. He will
22:10come as a lion. He will come as a lion. He will not come to negotiate. He will come to reign. And on that
22:18day, the only thing that will matter is whether a soul has been washed by the blood of the lamb. This is why
22:23the gospel must be central in our lives. The gospel is not just the entry point into the
22:28Christian life. It is the sustaining power of it. It is the only foundation that can hold firm when
22:34the world is shaking. The gospel tells us that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners,
22:40that He lived a perfect life, died a substitutionary death, and rose from the grave in victory over sin
22:46and death, that by grace through faith we are justified, declared righteous, not by works, not by morality,
22:53not by heritage, not by knowledge, but by trusting in the finished work of Christ. This gospel is the
23:00dividing line between those who are ready and those who are not. Between those who have peace with God
23:05and those who are still under His wrath, between those who are citizens of the kingdom of heaven and
23:11those who are still slaves to the kingdom of darkness, there is no neutrality. There is no fence
23:16sitting. The days of casual Christianity are over. The days of lukewarm faith are over. The shaking of the
23:23nations is meant to wake us up, to strip away every false security, to remind us that only what is
23:29eternal will remain. Hebrews 12 says that God will once more shake not only the earth but also the
23:35heavens, so that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. What remains is the kingdom that cannot be
23:42shaken, and those who belong to that kingdom live differently. They are not controlled by fear.
23:48They are not swayed by the lies of culture. They are not seduced by the promises of the world.
23:54They walk in holiness. They pursue righteousness. They speak the truth in love. They proclaim the
23:59gospel boldly. They stand firm in the word of God. Even when the world mocks them, hates them,
24:06or threatens them readiness also means living in obedience. Not because we are trying to earn salvation,
24:12but because we are bearing fruit that flows from salvation. Jesus said in Matthew 7 that every tree
24:20is known by its fruit. Depart from me. That is a terrifying reality, and it is meant to awaken us.
24:26It is meant to cause self-examination. Not morbid introspection, but honest reflection. Is my life
24:32marked by repentance? Is my heart surrendered to Christ? Am I abiding in Him? Is my hope set fully on the
24:39grace that will be brought to me at the revelation of Jesus Christ? When we see wars, we should not
24:45just pray for peace. We should pray for repentance. We should pray that the gospel would go forth with
24:51urgency, that the church would be purified, that lukewarm believers would be convicted, that the lost
24:58would be drawn by the Spirit and saved by grace, because the days are evil and time is short. And while the
25:05world trembles at the thought of global war, the church should tremble at the thought of eternal
25:09judgment. There is something far more terrifying than military conflict, and that is to stand before
25:16a holy God without the righteousness of Christ. This is why readiness is not a call to anxiety,
25:22but to action. It is not a call to speculation, but to sanctification. It is not a call to withdraw
25:29from the world, but to shine the light of the gospel into it. We are ambassadors for Christ. We are
25:34salt and light. We are a city on a hill. We have been given the ministry of reconciliation. And the
25:40more the world falls apart, the more urgent that ministry becomes. Because people are desperate,
25:47they are confused, they are terrified, and they are searching. But they will not find the answers in
25:52governments or news anchors or social media. They will find the answers in the Word of God,
25:58and in the lives of those who are truly His being ready, means guarding your heart and filling your
26:03mind with the truth. It means resisting the lies of the enemy, standing firm in the armor of God,
26:09and staying alert in prayer. It means not being distracted by the cares of this world,
26:15or lulled to sleep by comfort and ease. It means being watchful, being faithful, and being hopeful,
26:21because the same Jesus who came once in humility will come again in glory. The same Jesus who died on
26:27the cross will come with a crown. The same Jesus who was mocked by men will be worshiped by all the
26:33real preparation is not in stockpiling supplies or predicting timelines. The real preparation is in
26:39bowing your knee to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, in walking daily by the Spirit and feeding daily on the

27:00faithful with your time, your testimony, your talents, your trials? Were you faithful to love
27:06the truth, to stand for righteousness, to suffer well, to finish the race? This world is passing away.
27:12Its systems, its powers, its pleasures, they are all fading. But the one who does the will of God abides

27:23return of the King. Revelation 19.11 says, I saw heaven open, and behold, a white horse. The one
27:31sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. That is the
27:36final war, not between Israel and Iran, not between armies and governments, but between Christ and all who
27:44oppose Him. Are you ready? Because the real question today is not what Israel will do next. The question is,
27:51where do you stand with the God of Israel?
