00:00A premises believed to be an oil storage facility in Taman Megaria, Maasai caught fire on Saturday.
00:08The fire broke out at about 12.30pm, producing black smoke estimated to rise as high as 100m into the sky.
00:16The thick smoke was visible as far as the Eastern Dispersal Link Highway, approximately 8km away.
00:23Fueled by strong winds, the flames spread rapidly, erupting less than 50m from a nearby residential area.
00:31Eyewitnesses reported hearing small explosions, with several barrels believed to be filled with oil seen bursting into flames.
00:38Firefighters and police are currently at the scene, battling the blaze and urging residents and onlookers to evacuate to a safer location.
00:47Residents in the area have expressed concerns for their safety, as the electricity supply in the affected residential area has been cut off to prevent further incidents.
