00:27Israel launched a wave of air and drone strikes on Iran in June 2025, claiming within a week
00:33to have disabled 120 Iranian air defense systems.
00:37Israel claimed it has no choice but to launch the attacks, believing Iran has accelerated
00:42its nuclear weapons program with the aim of destroying the Israeli state.
00:46Iran retaliated with ballistic missile strikes, with about 10% so far evading Israel's sophisticated
00:53Iron Dome defense system.
00:55The U.S. currently has up to 50,000 troops stationed across 19 Middle Eastern sites, as well as
01:01forces in Cyprus and Bahrain, all of which could be mobilized against Iran.
01:05But the fallout of such a move, and whether it stands to escalate conflict in the region,
01:11rests on the decision Donald Trump is expected to make in July 2025.
