12:24So we're into the fourth round here and this is just fascinating because he's been put down
12:50twice Simpson and that'll mean that he's lost the first and the third 10-8 definitely the third the first
12:57he was very dominant in spells outside of the knockdown but you'd still imagine it would be a
13:0210-8 he's won that second round this is absolutely crazy stuff yeah and he's bossing most of the terms
13:08in there he's bossing the pace he's the tempo he like you see he look at the in the large patches
13:14Zuko looks uncomfortable but then yeah Simpson you know drops his hands and walks onto a shot gets put
13:21down so but a lot of problems that Simpsons have in here is because we've got to remember he's in
13:27against the Southall and the things that he does in normal fights where he's coming in leading in
13:32right in range and he's quite square with the head the Southall left and he's touching him and making
13:37pay and Simpson just setting his feet square and letting those hands go and then working away
13:43to the midsection trying to find that up the cup it's not quite there
13:49the referee just breaking them apart on the scorecard at home he scored that opening round
14:0010-9 rather than 10-8 I can see it I can see how people would get there but trust me the judges
14:06ringside if you've been knocked down you have to do an awful lot to turn that 10-8 into a 10-9

16:19When you're going to get some ropes, if they're out-book-up lads, double it, triple it, because it's safer than throwing the wild hooks.
16:24Put your shoulder into it, let's look at what's going, you're safer doing that, get that shoulder right tight, uppercut sneer there, uppercut again if it lands.
16:38He can afford to get a bit more distance, you know sometimes he's still falling in on his punches and smuggling his own work.
16:46So into the fifth, Simpson in the red, Zuko in the black, the vacant European super middleweight title on the line, Simpson down in the first and in the third.
17:01See, even when he's coming in he's dipping his head to the right hand side on line for that left hand.
17:06But, bar the knockdowns, he's been really dominant? Yeah.

18:38It's the final win of the round five and probably been the quietest round of the fight so far.
18:56I'll tell you what, he's certainly answered plenty about his character, you know we always ask about prospects,
19:02fighters coming through, what they're like when things go wrong, what it's like when they get hit,
19:06when they get hurt, he's just the same.
19:13It's a nice right hand, left hand just before that landed from Zucco,
19:18good shot uppercut and left up as well there from Simpson.
19:32Just looking to try and wing that left hand in over the top there,
19:35Zucco and again it was a little bit laboured, final few seconds in the round.
19:44The reality is when you fight Simpson, he goes to the pace and you have to go with him and
19:47Zucco has done that well, he's put it down a couple of times but you get the impression that
19:51he's gonna have to keep putting it down.
19:53Yeah, because you're watching him going back to the corner, Zucco is definitely feeling the pace.
19:57I was gonna say, I don't think Zucco can do the same face as what Simpson can.

20:05I know, I know I'm saying, you know, he's wasted a lot of punches, but he's one of these fighters,

20:16And again, for such a big man who fights at such close range,
20:20that's almost chest to chest, he still finds the leverage to get the shot off.

21:55and dictate the pace and push it on him, he's got to fight back,
21:59he's got to try and push Simpson back and get his respect.

22:13he's tried that a couple of times previously,
22:15but that one was sharper, he got his thing close-up,
22:18thrown in a tighter arc.

24:08But, Mike, you know when you've seen fighters that are labouring a little bit and then give it
24:14a real good effort and they look like he's turning it around, really digging in, gritting the team,
24:20and then it doesn't work and then it gets put back on him again, it breaks the heart.
24:24We've seen it so many times and maybe this is what's going to happen with Zucco now,
24:27because that was a massive effort in the first minute of that round.
24:40So entering the second half of the fight and this has been eventful to say the least so far.
24:45Eight seconds in, we had that knockdown from Ivan Zucco and then we had another one in the third.
24:51Outside of that really, Simpson has dominated the fight.
24:55The best of a spell was Zucco for that first minute, minute and a half of the round that we've just seen,

25:05Zucco put in a big, big shift there and didn't quite make the dent he would have liked,
25:10so it's been revised to a 10-8 that opening round on the viewer's verdict.
25:14That makes it level by halfway and I would say it's pretty easy to score, to be honest.

29:51Mentally at this stage of a fight, even if a fighter goes over, can get bundled over, or slipped, or whatever, it's always a nice feeling, it's a little bit of a lift.

36:03He needs to start using his jab, his length, his, you know, his reach, putting his shots together, keep it simple with ones and twos.

36:15But for me, he's edging the round for me, you know, he's just edging the rounds.
36:19But I don't know how the judges have got it, you know, but it's tight, it's getting tight.
