Srinagar (J&K), June 19, 2025 (ANI): Kashmir’s Film Industry faced a major setback after the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam. Security concerns and tense atmosphere led many Bollywood and regional filmmakers to cancel or postpone their projects in the valley. Now, as efforts to bring back peace and normal life, filmmakers are slowly returning to the valley. Both big film crews from Bollywood and local filmmakers are showing interest in shooting again in Kashmir.

00:30When we talk about the industry, the most important thing is that we have the makers and all of them
00:56and all of them have to do something very necessary.
01:00This project is very important, like the director Kapil Matu Ji.
01:04He is working on the outside of Bombay, but it is Kashmiri, it is Kashmiri Pandit.
01:08The post-Palgam attack came here, Kashmiri will meet us.
01:11The people of here who are the creative people will meet them.
01:14This was the plan that we have to do something, to do something, to do something.
01:18So we came up with a concept now, it is very important, Jins of Kashmir.
01:21It is a short film and I am assistant director.
01:24However, this is the plan that we have to revive the cinema here.
01:29And the makers of here have to come.
01:31We will tell our stories here.
01:34Because if we don't have to initiate some post-Palgam attack or in general,
01:39then why do we come and do it outside?
01:42So I think it is very important that the makers of here have to come and tell their stories.
01:47I think this is a great effort, like Sir, as he first came from a short film,
01:51which went globally and went to a festival,
01:54and they came here with him.
01:56So in general, this is just that we have to create our industry here.
02:02After this incident, we are reviving the cinema.
02:06And we are inviting other makers as well.
02:09Who is Kashmir.
