00:48Everyone records separately except sometimes they'll do two people.
00:53But so I met the wonderful Jonas three weeks ago at the L.A. Junket.

01:01The voiceover acting world because it is a bit separated like that.
01:05So how nice is it when you get to see everybody and then chat about everyone's different parts?
01:09It's nice.
01:10Yeah.
01:10It's a lot of fun.
01:12I mean, I think that's what makes voiceover work a little trickier is, you know, you don't get to really feed off the other actors.
01:21Right.
01:21So timing has to be tweaked a little bit.
01:24And sometimes a director will read you in as another character that you may be having a conversation with.
01:31But, yeah.
01:32And how was it for you playing Elio because I just love Elio so much?
01:38It's been a great journey.
01:40I started working on Elio four years ago.
01:43And I just remember when I started doing Scratch.
01:49And Scratch is the temporary voice for the animators to animate off of.
01:55And I remember that feeling of just getting that call that I got the main role was the craziest feeling.
02:02And now that it's finally coming out, I'm just so humble and excited.
02:06How long were you doing the Scratch before you knew you were cast as Elio?
02:10I did the Scratch for around a year.
02:13Wow.
02:13And then I did Elio for three more years.
02:18Yeah.
02:19This is such a lovely pairing as well, Brad.
02:21Obviously, you're a legend.
02:22You've done so many amazing things in this industry.
02:25How refreshing is it to be sitting here together, you know, with this new generation that are coming through as well?
02:32You know, it's great.
02:33When I saw this, which, you know, he's amazing.
02:37He's brilliant.
02:38And I think the toughest thing to do in any role is play yourself.
02:45And there's so much of Jonas in Elio, that kindness, that heart.
02:50And then he's funny and he's dramatic.
02:53And it was, you know, it's great to see someone so young that really focuses on their craft to make it about the craft, not just being in movies.
03:04So many people want to be in movies or TV, but a handful really want to be actors.
03:10And I think that, you know, once in a while in your journey, you meet someone, you go, yeah, this person is doing what they should be doing.
03:17So it was great.
03:18I felt the way about Gordon, the one who played his friend, my son in this.
03:22So it's special.
03:23It's obviously all about space, aliens, the universe.
03:29I'm into all that.
03:30What do we think then?
