A Filipino migrant since 1981, Engr. Castro served in the Civil Service Bureau of the Kingdom of Bahrain until his retirement in 2019. In recognition of his remarkable contributions to the overseas Filipino community, he was honored with the prestigious Bagong Bayani Award in 1998.
Though now back in the Philippines, his commitment to education and the welfare of OFW families lives on through his continued leadership at the Philippine School in Bahrain.
