00:00How's it going?
00:02It's going well. Did everybody have a good time?
00:04Did you have a good time?
00:06I did. I always have a good time.
00:08Hi, Jennifer.
00:10You just posted right before we took off that you're not leaving because of a ceasefire.
00:14Can you elaborate?
00:16We're looking at better than a ceasefire.
00:18We're not looking for a ceasefire. I didn't say I was looking for a ceasefire.
00:21That was Emmanuel. Nice guy.
00:23But he doesn't get it right too often.
00:25But we're not looking. We're looking for better than a ceasefire.
00:29You're looking for getting into this more.
00:31You're not going to invest in this conflict at this stage.
00:34Are you going to do anything more for Israel right now?
00:37We're doing pretty well. Right now we're doing pretty well.
00:40Remember, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
00:43It's very simple.
00:45We don't have to go too deep into it.
00:47They just can't have a nuclear weapon.
00:49What was the thinking on the call for Tehran to evacuate?
00:52Is there a threat or is there incoming?
00:54What was the thinking on the full evacuation?
00:56I want people to be safe.
00:58And that's always possible.
01:00A thing like that could happen.
01:02I just want people to be safe.
01:04Is there any new concern about U.S. troops or assets in the region at all today?
01:09We have great people. They know how to protect themselves.
01:12And when you say better, what specifically do you mean?
01:15They do anything to our people.
01:17We'll come down so hard.
01:18And then that loves her off so beautifully.
01:21Now, they, I think they know not to touch our troops.
01:27Are you sending the Vice?
01:29Yeah.
01:30When our troops are ready.
01:31When you say better.
01:32Do you want to send the Vice President and Steve Wyckoff?
01:34There's reports that you want to send the Vice President and Steve Wyckoff to meet with the Iranians and have discussions?
01:40Is that something you're considering?
01:41I may.
01:42I'm not sure yet.
01:43I may.
01:44Depends on what happens when I get back.
01:45What specifically is better than a ceasefire?
01:47What are you looking for here?
01:49A real end.
01:50Not a ceasefire.
01:51An end.
01:52So something that will be permanent.
01:53Yeah.
01:54Or giving up entirely.
01:55That's okay, too.
01:56Are you close there?
01:57Are you possible?
01:58Is that possible in the next 24, 48 hours?
01:59Certainly possible.
02:00A complete give up.
02:01That's possible, yeah.
02:02Has the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the Secretary of Defense drawn up plans for you if
02:15Iran were to attack U.S. bases or do any damage to U.S. bases?
02:19I can't do that.
02:20I just can't do that.
02:21Can I ask you, because there's been some skepticism, is there any guarantee that if the
02:26U.S. did get involved militarily that a U.S. bomb could destroy Iran's nuclear program
02:31and facilities?
02:32Everything or anything or life, you know that.
02:35Look at you, right?
02:37There's no guarantee.
02:38But you're saying a guarantee on what?
02:40Do you think if the U.S. got involved militarily, it would actually wipe out Iran's nuclear program?
02:45Or where's your assessment of that?
02:47I hope their program's going to be wiped out long before then.
02:50But they're not going to have a nuclear weapon.
02:53What can you do?
02:54Do you have any reason to believe the Israelis are going to slow down, or are they going to
02:57hit the accelerator right now because they've got superiority?
03:00You're going to find out over the next two days, right?
03:02You're going to find out.
03:03Has the Gang of Eight...
03:04Nobody's slowed up so far.
03:05Has the Gang of Eight been notified about what's coming in the next couple days?
03:09We'll be talking to them.
03:11What can you do?
03:12It's not necessary.
03:13What can you do in Washington that you wouldn't do in Canada?
03:16Just be a little bit, I think, more well-versed.
03:22Not having to use telephones so much, because I don't believe in telephones.
03:26Because people like you listen to them, you know.
03:29So, being on the scene is much better.
03:32And we did everything I had to do with the G7.
03:35We had a good G7.
03:36We signed the deal with the European Union.
03:40Phase one of a deal.
03:42But we signed the deal with the UK.
03:44And the UK is really great.
03:47We were very far down the line with a lot of deals.
03:52I mean, look, we're actually finished with every deal, if you really think about it.
03:56Because all I have to do is say, this is what you're going to pay.
03:58But it's nice to be nice.
04:00Did Secretary Bessett stay behind as your representative?
04:03Yeah.
04:04Okay.
04:05Anybody else?
04:06Yeah, a couple of people.
04:07Can I ask you where?
04:08There we go.
04:09Who else has a question?
04:10I don't know if the CNN thing is.
04:12Mr. President, you talked about the European Union.
04:16Can you tell us what the status is on talks on those who signed with the UK today?
04:21I don't feel that they're offering a fair deal yet.
04:25You know, they've been very tough over the years.
04:28If you look at the European Union, they formed in order to hurt the United States on trade.
04:33And we're either going to make a good deal or they'll just make whatever we say they have to make.
04:37What about the Japanese?
04:38Sir, you met briefly with Prime Minister Oshima?
04:40He had a great conversation.
04:42I thought he was terrific, actually.
04:44You know, I was very friendly with Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister.
04:48He was a great man.
04:50But I think he's going to do a very good job.
04:53Do you think you have a chance of a deal there?
04:55A chance?
04:56Yeah, they're tough.
04:58The Japanese are tough.
05:00But ultimately, you have to understand, we're just going to send a letter and say this is what you're going to pay.
05:04Otherwise, you don't have to do business with us.
05:06But there's a chance of a deal.
05:08They want traders to the auto tariffs as well. Is that on the table?
05:11Anything else?
05:13It's a drone attack in Kyiv.
05:15What's your response to that?
05:16It looks like 14 or so.
05:17A drone attack, a Russian drone attack in Kyiv.
05:19When?
05:20Very recently.
05:21It seems it's 14 civilians in Harbinville.
05:24I don't see this.
05:25I'll come back to see it.
05:26It sounds like it.
05:28I'll have to look at it.
05:30The joint statement on the Middle East, what changed about that that convinced you to sign on to it?
05:35The G7 joint statement?
05:37Well, I haven't seen the statement yet.
05:40But I authorized them to say certain things.
05:42I don't know whether or not they said it correctly.
05:44But I think they probably did.
05:46We had a good meeting.
05:48I think that Canadian representatives were very good.
05:53He did a very good job.
05:55How was your meeting with him?
05:58How were the trade talks looking with the Canadians?
06:00I think we had a lot of good talk from a lot of people.
06:02You said he's looking for something more complex.
06:04Can you tell me what you mean by that?
06:06They get complex on the deals and they never get done.
06:08And we need speed.
06:10You know, we're dealing with really, if you think about it, probably 175 countries.
06:15And most of them are going to just be sent a letter saying, it'll be an honor to trade with you.
06:20And here's what you're going to have to pay to do it.
06:23We're making a lot of money.
06:24You know, we took in 88 billion in tariffs.
06:27And I was called by Congress about two nights ago saying, we don't understand the numbers are so far off.
06:35And I said, is that good or bad?
06:37He said, well, we're taking in so much more income than we thought.
06:41We've never seen anything like this.
06:43What is it?
06:44I said, check the tariff column.
06:46And it's about $88 billion that they've never seen before.
06:51And that's nothing compared to what it's going to be.
06:53You've got other tariffs coming down the pipe here.
06:56What's the timing on those things like lumber, copper, pharmaceutical drugs?
07:01We're going to be doing pharmaceuticals very soon.
07:03That's going to bring all the companies back into America.
07:06A little more focusing on source tax.
07:09Back in.
07:10At least partially back in.
07:12You know, they left us because we had residents and didn't know what the hell they were doing.
07:16We should have never lost our car business.
07:19We lost 52% of our car business over the years.
07:22We should have never lost it.
07:24All they had to do is say, if you make a car, you're going to leave us.
07:28You're going to make a car.
07:29You're going to pay a 25, 30% tariff.
07:31And they would have never left.
07:33Nobody said that to anybody until I came along.
07:36What do you think security is saying that ICE is going to start enforcing in hotels and farms again?
07:41Is that a change of course from last week?
07:44We're going to look everywhere.
07:46But I think the biggest problem is the inner cities.
07:49We're looking everywhere.
07:50Look.
07:51What they let into this country, what Biden let in or allowed to — I don't think he knew what the hell he was doing, frankly.
07:57But whoever worked for him.
07:59What they let into this country, we're never going to forget it.
08:04They let prisoners in.
08:06They let gang members in, drug dealers in, the mentally insane into our country.
08:12No, we're going to get them out.
08:14There are far more in the inner cities, Democrat-run cities, sadly.
08:20I mean, I'm just kidding.
08:21There's far more in there than you have on a farm or someplace.
08:26No one's getting exemptions anymore.
08:27Everyone is being looked at.
08:30But the bigger problem is the cities right now.
08:33That's where you're at.
08:34And that tends to be where the really bad ones are, the murderers.
08:38You know, they've let in 11,888 murderers.
08:43People that killed people.
08:45Biden allowed that to happen.
08:47So, the Democrats allowed it to happen.
08:50Biden didn't know he was even around.
08:53Question on your Senate confirmations.
08:55With all the military actions, there are only three of your six sub-Cabinet members at the Defense Department.
09:01Yeah, I can see the nominations go faster.
09:03The Democrats hold up our nominations.
09:05Are you talking to Senator Thune about that?
09:07John Thune's doing a very good job.
09:09You know, I've got a lot of people, but he's doing a very good job.
09:13The Democrats, if we had George Washington up for approval, the Democrats would take maximum time,
09:20every hour, every minute, to delay him as long as possible.
09:24If we had a combination of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington, they would go max, it's called max time.
09:31You always said that you don't believe Iran should be able to have a nuclear weapon.
09:35But how close do you personally think that they were to getting one?
09:39Because Tulsi Gabbard testified in March that the intelligence community said Iran wasn't building a nuclear weapon.
09:45I don't care what she said. I think they were very close to having one.
09:48You were at this beautiful scene for the meeting, and you said a lot about acquiring Canada as a state.
09:54Did anybody talk to you about that, and where are you now?
09:56It's not a much better deal from Canada, but, you know, it's up to them.
10:00They're going to have to pay a lot of tariffs and things.
10:03They're going to have to pay a lot of money for the Dome, for the Iron Dome.
10:06They want to be a part of it. We may make a separate deal on that, by the way.
10:10We discussed that, yeah, for the Dome. That may be a separate deal.
10:14They want to be in $71 billion. They're going to pay.
10:17There could be a Dome thing separate from the tariff.
10:19In the Dome, yeah. They'll be under the Dome.
10:21Are you open to negotiating with the Iranians right now, or do you want to wait?
10:27I've been negotiating. I told them to do the deal. They should have done the deal.
10:32The cities have been blown to pieces. They've lost a lot of people.
10:36They should have done the deal. I told them, do the deal.
10:39So, I don't know. I'm not too much in the mood to negotiate now.
10:42Do you think you'll be in this situation room tomorrow at any point?
10:45Yeah. Tomorrow morning, girl. While you're sleeping.
10:49Goodbye, everybody.
10:51Evacuate Tehran. You know how you posted, evacuate?
10:54I think it's safe.
10:56A lot of bad things happening there.
10:58I think it's safe for them to evacuate.
11:01On Minnesota, there were a lot of horrific details that came out today about the suspect who's been charged there.
11:06Have you called the governor yet or been able to speak to any of them?
11:09I don't really call him. He's, look, he appointed this guy to a position.
11:13I think the governor of Minnesota is so whacked out, I'm not calling him.
11:17Why would I call him? I could call him, say, hi, how you doing?
11:20The guy doesn't have a clue. He's a mess.
11:25So, you know, I could be nice and calm, but why waste time?
11:28On the beautiful bill, sir, can you talk about what the Senate...
11:31We're doing well with the big...
11:32I've been looking at the Senate. They proposed some change.
11:34The great, big, beautiful bill, right?
11:35Are you okay with their changes?
11:37I hear, so far, it's going well.
11:40Are you going to extend that?
11:41I don't know if it doesn't get approved.
11:4368% tax increase, and I think the Democrats would have to, you know, they'd be...
11:50Because we won't get Democrats support. Think of it.
11:52We're giving the biggest tax cut in history.
11:55Instead, you have the biggest tax increase in history.
11:5868%.
11:59Are you going to extend the TikTok deadline again that's coming up in the jail?
12:04Probably.
12:05Probably have to get China approval. I think we're getting it.
12:07You have the legal basis to do that?
12:08I think President Xi will ultimately approve it.
12:10And you have the legal basis to do that, to keep extending it?
12:12Yeah.
12:13We do.
12:14Two more on Iran.
12:15Is there any sign that North Korea is getting more involved in helping Iran?
12:20Or is Russia getting more involved with military assistance?
12:22I haven't seen it.
12:23No.
12:24I don't think anybody wants to get involved.
12:25It's a mess.
12:26What about American citizens, U.S. citizens who are trying to leave the area with the airport
12:30shut down, Ben-Gurion shut down?
12:32We're doing the best we can.
12:33We're working on that.
12:34We're doing the best we can.
12:35Thank you, everybody, very much.
12:36Have a good night.
12:38It was very good.
