IRGC General: Pakistan will strike Israel if Iran is hit

Iran’s General Mohsen Rezaei shocked many by claiming Pakistan would nuke Israel if Iran is attacked.

00:03General Mohsen Rezai, an IRGC commander and member of Iran's National Security Council.

00:08He claims that if Israel attempts to launch a nuclear strike on Iran,

00:12its ally, Pakistan, will also strike Israel with a nuclear bomb.

00:15Pakistan's Defense Minister Khwaja Asif denied this,

00:18saying they made no such commitment to Tehran.

00:20However, he did maintain a stern tone on Israel.

00:23Following the recent Israeli airstrikes on Tehran,

00:25Pakistan had vowed to stand behind Iran, against Israel.

00:28Pakistan's Defense Minister also called upon

00:30the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to convene a meeting

00:33to form a strategy against Israel.

00:35The nuclear programs of Israel and Iran are quite ambiguous,

00:38while Israel maintains complete ambiguity,

00:40which basically means refusing to confirm or deny

00:42if they possess any nuclear weapons.

00:45Iran at the same time says that its program

00:47is only meant for energy production and medical research.
