00:00Morehouse School is a charity. We educate boys aged 8 to 18 who have speech language and

00:14communication difficulties. We've grown enormously from 60 pupils to 500 and the

00:20need to transform our sporting facilities has now become really urgent

00:24and we need your help as our entire community to fundraise so that we can

00:28provide them with facilities that enable them to train in all conditions, that we

00:33have proper changing rooms for them and decent access.

00:36We need to have fundraising!

00:39Our current limitations are that our pitches get very waterlogged in the winter

00:44month and therefore we can't use a lot of grass facilities.

00:46Football brings a lot of confidence and enjoyment for me. Playing football with my

00:50friends on the field and when I find that games and PE sessions getting cancelled

00:54it's devastating to be honest.

00:56A new 3G facility would allow us to train all year round and it would allow us to

01:00lengthen the time that we train going into the evenings with the use of the

01:03floodlights. We'd also be able to use the new 3G facility for community access

01:08reaching out to many of the sports clubs in our local community to be able to come

01:13and use the facility at Morehouse.

01:15Having a modern sports pavilion with up-to-date

01:17changing room would allow the whole sporting experience to be more

01:19professional.

01:20We also teach a lot of hockey up on the hard play which is a very unforgiving surface.

01:24Having a 3G surface which they can practice hockey on is far more up-to-date and far more

01:28current allowing them to potentially reach much higher levels with their hockey skills.

01:32The boys are really enthusiastic about their sports. It would be great to match the facilities

01:38to their enthusiasm.

01:40We really find that getting them out using the outside space in the natural environment

01:44is hugely beneficial to them.

01:46At school, I play lots of sports. I play the sports with my friends which makes me have

01:50better friendships with them.

01:52So we ask for your help. Help us to realise this dream and support our students to fulfil their

01:58ambitions for the future.
