00:00All right, just relax.
00:04We're all getting in.
00:05Just relax.
00:06Let's go.
00:07They're being good.
00:08One second.
00:09Peter.
00:10Okay, one more.
00:11One more.
00:12Just move, move, move, move.
00:13One more, just move, move, move.
00:15One more, just move, move, move, move.
00:17Yes, either not.
00:18One second, sir.
00:19All right.
00:20Turn everybody in.
00:23You got angles?
00:24Yeah.
00:25Okay, you're in.
00:26You're in.
00:27You're in.
00:28Are we good to go?
00:29Yeah.
00:30Quiet, sir.
00:31All right.
00:33Mr. President, welcome to Canada.
00:36It's a great honor.
00:37Happy birthday.
00:38A few days short.
00:40A few days short, but didn't have a chance to see you on the day.
00:44Happy birthday to the U.S. military as well.
00:46Tony 50th.
00:47And this is the 50th birthday, if you will, of the G7.
00:51This marks the 50th birthday of the G7.
00:54And the G7 is nothing without U.S. leadership.
00:58And so – and your personal leadership, the leadership of the United States.
01:02Many issues – geopolitics, economic, technology, and working hand-in-hand with the United States,
01:09Canada and the United States, and the other G7 partners with your leadership.
01:15I'm very much looking forward to the meeting.
01:16I'm grateful to have you here.
01:17Well, thank you very much, Mark.
01:18I appreciate it.
01:19And we've developed a very good relationship.
01:21And we're going to be talking about trade and many other things.
01:25And we have a whole group of people – some traders and some other people.
01:29I see my top economy people.
01:32But we have a very talented group of people.
01:35And you do, too.
01:36And I know they've worked together very well.
01:38I look forward to that.
01:39The G7 used to be the G8.
01:42Barack Obama and a person named Trudeau didn't want to have Russia in.
01:48And I would say that that was a mistake because I think you wouldn't have a war right now if you had Russia in.
01:53And you wouldn't have a war right now if Trump were President four years ago.
01:57But it didn't work out that way.
01:59It used to be the G8.
02:01And now it's – I guess, what's that, nine years ago, eight years ago it switched over.
02:05They threw Russia out, which I claimed was a very big mistake even though I wasn't in politics and I was very loud about it.
02:12It was a mistake in that you spend so much time talking about Russia and he's no longer at the table.
02:18So it makes life more complicated.
02:20But you wouldn't have had the war.
02:22And other than that, I think we're going to accomplish a lot.
02:27And I expect to – and I think our primary focus would be trade and trade with Canada.
02:32And I'm sure we can work something out.
02:34Yeah, very good.
02:35Thank you very much.
02:36Yeah, so am I.
02:37Thank you very much.
02:38Mr. President, what is holding up a deal with Canada from your perspective?
02:49It's not so much holding up.
02:51I think we have different concepts.
02:52I have a tariff concept.
02:54Mark has a different concept, which is something that some people like.
02:59But we're going to see if we can get to the bottom of it today.
03:02I'm a tariff person.
03:04I've always been a tariff.
03:05It's simple.
03:06It's easy.
03:07It's precise.
03:09And it just goes very quickly.
03:11And I think Mark has a more complex idea, but also very good.
03:17So we're going to look at both.
03:18And we're going to see what – we're going to come out with something, hopefully.
03:21Mr. President, do you think a deal is achievable within days, within weeks?
03:27Is there that kind of runway?
03:28Yeah.
03:29It's achievable.
03:30Both parties have to agree.
03:31Yeah, sure.
03:32Mr. President, have you heard any signals or seen any messages from intermediaries that
03:38Iran wishes to de-escalate the conflict?
03:43Yeah.
03:44What have you heard?
03:45What have you heard from the Iranians?
03:47They'd like to talk, but they should have done that before.
03:51I had 60 days, and they had 60 days.
03:53And on the 61st day, I said, we don't have a deal.
03:57They have to make a deal.
03:58And it's painful for both parties, but I'd say Iran is not winning this war.
04:05And they should talk, and they should talk immediately before it's too late.
04:09And what would you say, in your opinion, what would it take for the U.S. to get involved
04:13in this conflict militarily?
04:15I don't want to talk about that.
04:17And you mentioned Putin.
04:18Do you think that he should have a seat at the G7 today, that it should be the G8?
04:22I'm not saying he should at this point, because too much water's gone over the dam,
04:27maybe.
04:28But it was a big mistake.
04:30Obama didn't want him.
04:32And the head of your country, the proud head of your country, didn't want him.
04:37This was a big mistake.
04:38You wouldn't have that war.
04:40You know, you have your enemy at the table, even — I don't even consider him —
04:43he wasn't really an enemy at that time.
04:45There was no concept.
04:46If I were President, this war would have never happened.
04:49But likewise, if he were a member of what was called the G8 at that time —
04:53it was always the G8 — you wouldn't have a war right now.
04:57What is Israel's support, and what intelligence support are you providing Israel?
05:03We've always supported Israel.
05:05We have for a long period of time, strongly.
05:08And Israel's doing very well right now.
05:10Why not have China at the G8?
05:11Why not have China here, the biggest economy in the world, after the United States?
05:16Well, it's not a bad idea.
05:17I don't mind that.
05:18If somebody wants to suggest China coming in, I think we suggest.
05:21But you want to have people that you can talk to.
05:24You know, they don't talk — Putin speaks to me.
05:27He doesn't speak to anybody else.
05:28He doesn't want to talk.
05:29Because he was very insulted when he got thrown out of the G8.
05:32As I would be, as you would be, as anybody would be.
05:35He was very insulted.
05:36And, I mean, he was thrown out by Trudeau, who convinced one or two people, along with Obama.
05:43He was thrown out.
05:45And he's not a happy person about it, I can tell you that.
05:49He basically doesn't even speak to the people that throw him out.
05:54And I agree with him.
05:55On immigration, why are you ordering ICE to target democratic inner cities?
05:59Go ahead.
06:00On immigration, why are you ordering ICE to target democratic inner cities?
06:03What's fine then?
06:04I don't know what you're saying.
06:05You did a post last night where you said you want ICE to really target democratic inner cities?
06:09I want them to focus on the cities, because the cities are where you really have what's called sanctuary cities.
06:14And that's where the people are.
06:16I look at New York, I look at Chicago.
06:18I mean, you've got a really bad governor in Chicago and a bad mayor.
06:22But the governor is probably the worst in the country, Pritzker.
06:25But I look at how that city has been overrun by criminals.
06:29And, you know, New York and L.A.
06:32Look at L.A.
06:33L.A., those people weren't from L.A.
06:35They weren't from California, most of those people, many of those people.
06:38And, yeah, that's the focus.
06:41Biden allowed 21 million people to come into our country.
06:45Of that, vast numbers of those people were murderers, killers, people from gangs, people from jails.
06:53They emptied their jails out into the U.S.
06:56Most of those people are in the cities.
06:58All blue cities.
06:59All Democrat-run cities.
07:01And they think they're going to use them to vote.
07:03It's not going to happen.
07:05That's it.
07:06That's it.
07:07That's it.
07:09If you don't mind, I'm just going to exercise my role, if you will, as a G7 chair, since
07:17we have a few more minutes with the President and his team.
07:20And then we actually have to start the meeting to address some of these big issues.
07:25Thank you, media.
07:26Let's go.
07:27Let's go.
07:28Up, up, up.
07:30That's it.
07:31That's it.
07:32Thank you very much.
07:34I don't want to do it, no.
07:38Cutie.
07:39Cutie.
07:40Let's go.
07:42I don't want to do it.
07:44Okay.
07:45That's too much time there.
07:47Mr President, are you seriously considering me for heading out?
07:51Let's go.
07:52Thank you very much.
07:53Okay.
07:54Let's go.
07:55Here we go.
