00:00101 fire vehicles were there, more than 100 of ambulances were there, including 35 ambulances from private trusts as well, around 46 different earthmover equipment including JCB, excavator, Hitachi and cranes were there.
00:26So everybody advised me that we should not remove the wing because it may explode. I could understand that it was a very very serious kind of a decision.
00:42This entire operation was, after the operation was over and the investigation started, there was the black box had to be searched.
00:54So the black box was, you know, is there either in the front or in the back, 101 fire vehicles were there, more than 100 of ambulances were there, including 35 ambulances from private trusts as well,
01:15around 46 different earthmover equipment including JCB, excavator, Hitachi and cranes were there and the entire operation was carried out in a very very swift, coordinated and quick manner and the entire thing was operating.
01:41We found two things, one was the wing of the aircraft was actually obstructing the movement of ambulances in the internal area, so everybody advised me that we should not remove the wing because it may explode.
02:03I could understand that it was a very very serious kind of a decision that we would be taking and since the wing was complete with fuel, I thought of, you know, taking extra measures.
02:21Initially, initially, I told one of my fire tender to pour water and I told the police to cordon off the people and when the entire crowd was controlled and the fire tender was there,
02:39then I took a decision that to remove this obstruction and for a green corridor for the ambulances, this wing had to be removed and we have ensured through a JCB.
02:55Very slowly, very slowly, very slowly, very slowly, very slowly, we did it in a very slow manner so that it will not lead to any spark or will not catch fire.
03:04Fortunately, the wing was completely sidetracked and the road was made open.
03:11There was also one situation where the BJ wall has to be demolished because for the entry of ambulances, initially, you know, ambulances were there and people had to walk little more but we demolished the wall then and there with the help of our JCBs.
03:38And there were five ambulances together and all the five ambulances used to come and go and within fraction of second, this was completely done and we required one earth mover also.
03:55And we knew that to get a earth mover from a distance place would be difficult.
04:01So, nearby, I told my team because all the Debuto municipal commissioners were there.
04:07I told my team that immediately one has to be mobilized and there was one nearby and we have requested them and they were very helpful and cooperative enough to bring that Hitachi to the site.
04:24And that is how the entire operation was conducted in a very, very perfect manner as much as possible by the team there.
04:35There was also, as the work progressed in the evening, we knew that it will be evening but the operation had to be continued and because this is a very, very sensitive matter, the lighting arrangement had to be done.
04:55There were more than hundreds of LED flood lights with five DG sets there so that there should not be any problem as far as lighting arrangement is concerned.
05:10And after that, we told our medical teams to be cooperating, helping and immediately responding in the civil hospital as well.
05:21So, teams from Narendra Modi Medical College and NHL Medical Colleges were there in the PM room to help and assist the teams there.
05:31There were more than 100 of medical paramedical staff out there for any assistance.
05:40In fact, the entire thing was so sad and shocking for all of us and the entire operation was carried out with complete kind of heavy heart but with the swiftness that was needed.
06:00In that kind of a situation.
06:04This entire operation was, after the operation was over and the investigation started, there was the black box had to be searched.
06:17So, the black box was, you know, is there either in the front or in the back.
06:24Fortunately, in this case, the tail end was not destroyed and it was stuck in the first building where it had impact.
06:37And we, the AIIB team, the aircraft investigation team requested us that cranes and laborers and engineers to be provided to ensure that the black box is recovered.
06:53AMC immediately, we were there on the site and this black box was also recovered.
07:02So, after that, you know, after that, you know, next day, whether it is crematorium or issuance of death certificates, we ensured that people should not go to, you know, offices to get their death certificate.
07:21But in the hospital, then and there, a single window system was created and the officer who is responsible for death registration was there and he was, you know, issuing the death certificates also are being issued then and there.
07:44We are very concerned with all the relatives and patients, whatever care is being done, I think this is being given with the state government, central government and the local government, all were working in sync and in coordination.
08:07And this is a, this is a case where everybody responded quickly, everybody responded in a coordinated manner and we try to give our best in the entire operations.
