00:00I went to one of Europe's hidden gems. Yes, I went to Vilnius, Lithuania for their pink suit festival
00:06and it was amazing. I was there for four nights and stayed at the Radisson Hotel which was located
00:11in the town centre which was in the old town and it was really nice. It had everything you needed
00:16and the breakfast was lovely. The architecture in Lithuania was just not what I expected. It was
00:22very much Italian inspired. This is the TV tower where we went for our first trip and this is the
00:27view which was quite scary. Here we did a workshop on making the famous pink soup. The soup is served
00:34cold and the main ingredient among other things is beetroot but yeah it was lovely and even lovelier
00:40was the actual place. I just could not get enough of Vilnius itself. It was so beautiful, so clean and
00:46it just had the best vibe. So this is something that I had when we went to a traditional Lithuanian
00:52restaurant. They actually served beaver here which was not something I had as a vegetarian but yeah.
00:56This is when we went on a tour of a prison which closed in 2019 but now serves as a concert and
01:03music and art space which is really cool. This is one of the rooms and honestly yeah it did feel quite
01:09creepy. In the evening we went to a Michelin star restaurant and this is the first time that I've
01:13ever been to a Michelin star restaurant and it was so so cool. As you could imagine of a Michelin star
01:19restaurant the food was just top tier. On Saturday it was the pink suit festival and there was so much going
01:26on and so many people. I did not expect for there to be that many people but there was beautiful
01:30artwork, there was a Raiders run, there was pink soup cocktails, there was lots of food, there was a
01:35parade as you can see here which was actually so cool to see like with the cheerleaders and the man in
01:42the pink soup. It was all a bit crazy, it was all a bit strange but honestly I loved it. I absolutely
01:46loved the costume competition because so many people had amazing outfits. On the last evening we went to a
01:52pop-up restaurant that was located in Vilnius train station, we had salad, we had more pink soup
01:58and we had a pink risotto as well as a mushroom dish and also pastries. Book your trip to Vilnius
02:05because it is truly one of the most underrated places in Europe.
