Olivia Munn Opens Up About Using a Surrogate: 'I Was Really Nervous About It'

Olivia Munn gets candid about her experience using a surrogate.

00:00I had to use a surrogate because of everything I'd gone through with cancer

00:03and and I I was really nervous about it it's a it's a whole process emotionally

00:13and it's a process an actual literal process but the emotional process is is

00:18such a journey and I think the first thing I was worried about was can I

00:26find somebody who will love and take care of my daughter as much as I would can I

00:31and I find someone who will who will nurture herself and knowing that

00:37everything that she does and brings into her life will be directly fed into my

00:40daughter there's all those feelings and I'm just so grateful that we found the

00:44most amazing mother to to want to do this for us and then the other big concern I

00:51had was will she know me you know a lot of people talk to you about when you're

00:58having you know your child they'll say oh they'll know your smell they hear your

01:01voice you know and and I have to tell people a lot of times like but she hasn't

01:07heard my voice she's heard the surrogates voice and she she won't know my smell

01:11she will know the surrogate smell and so all those things that people will tell

01:16you about how your baby will bond with you didn't apply to me and so I had

01:21a lot of fears and concerns and worries and when she was born she was crying and

01:31I was the only one who could could get her to to be at peace and not not to cry

01:37and I just I immediately I just knew that she knew me and I knew her and it

01:42just it was like everything that I needed you know to to know that that we

01:48were gonna be okay
